It's funny to see how blindly optimistic people are regarding Square-Enix as if they had not been paying attention for the last 10 years. Anyone expecting it to be a permanent (or long term) free teleport are going to be severely disappointed. There's a good probability that it's going to be a stack of 10-50 single use tickets. That's how Squeenix operates.

Also lol, I like all the people who say it's entitlement because people aren't satisfied with the rewards, cause clearly everyone should shut up and take what they are given and be happy. Sure there are some people overexaggerating but I can see where their gripe is coming from. (Have to learn that with SE, use the extreme opposite of the word they use to describe something and then you'll have it right, for instance Awesome here would be Simple, Extraordinary would be Run of the Mill, Very Special would be Leftover meatloaf from a week ago.

Anyway, let's be real, if the option to buy 180 days for absolutely nothing, no reward, were available, we'd all be falling over our wallets to buy 180 days in advance, for ya know.. nothing but the joy of knowing we can play for... 180 days. I bet the cash would be rolling in! /endsarcasm

Let's be real, those people who keep saying you don't pay to get the rewards, where are you getting your info? The fact that they show you "all the goodies you can get in advance" is a pretty good reason people actually pay for so much more time. I don't think there is a huge amount of people who paid for X in advance just for the kicks of having time (i'm sure there are some, but I'd be willing to bet they have collections/ FF shrines/plushies set up in their house to this game, the true hardcore FF fan with the posters everywhere etc) and not because something sparkly was attached to it. I'm one of those people who liked my shinies, up to the grand company leader minions. I loooove the minions.

Really glad there is a minion coming cause the tickets will be up on the board ASAP if they aren't untradeable. However, I'm not pressed enough to pay in advance for a minion I can get later on. I'll get it the regular way, or pay buy month until a shiney is attached that's worth plopping a chunk of money on it (to me). Everyone else can do whatever they want with their cash.

It's an optional reward they don't even have to do. They should just drop the veteran reward system because clearly when you pay monthly or by x months you're not paying to play an MMORPG, you're paying for a veteran reward.

Maybe it's because I'm from pre DLC era of gaming..but when I pay for a game or MMO that has a monthly cost, it's usually to access the game content I'm getting with my money..not "extras" unless I buy a collectors edition that comes with physical extras.

It is no longer optional when the devs have made it a point to emphasize on the veteran rewards program and having past veteran rewards serve as precedence on what to expect from veteran rewards.

honestly, what exactly is your problem? its not as though being vocal against the implementation of a useless veteran reward will bring you disbenefit, if anything, its the opposite.

I'm not getting it. Why do you even care how someone else spends their money? It's not effecting your gameplay is it? It is a optional reward, which means MORE than one option and choosing to pay more for the incentives doesn't mean they suddenly stopped playing the game because they have their incentives.

I'm pretty sure everyone can stop playing at any time, no matter how much more or more less time they bought. Everyone just may not have chose the same option as you and that's ok, trust me. You don't need to worry about it,
