Diabolos confirmed and possible new race (with long sloppy ears) for first expansion?

Yoshida said that they are going to introduce new races/classes with an expansion. There was a vote where the community liked the "bunny" race "viera" the most (FF12, FF tactics)

looks like this new character who is coming from the far east seems to have long and sloppy ears. too Big to be an elezen or Miq'ote Could it be some kind of Viera and maybe a possible new race for an expansion? Who knows. At least it seems to be a new race. Even though its just a new npc race for now.

Viera was nothing but an example for mammal hybrid. It was not meant to mean they were including Viera (of which Yoshie himself said that male Viera would look silly). If it is indeed a new race, it is likely to be something new (and given that clothing for races with long ears, the ears remain in normal position, if those are ears, they seem to lay downward, not up).

if a bunny alike race is becoming a playable race in an expansion. it may be that it will be femaly only.. but well.. lets see.

yoshi also wanted to have a reptilian race ;XD which could be the "male only" pendant to the bunny race..

Well there where information on both Diabolos and the masked person before this trailer. The masked person is confirmed to be a new race which are in need of the other races help.

When I say "new race" I don't mean that it's confirmed as a playable race, but it's new in the playable world.... And whatever race it is (probably Viera), it looks like they are preparing for a new playable race in the future.

One of those boss monsters in the video i think it may have been Halitali or the Coil 2 bit looked remarkably like the Catoblepas esper from Final Fantasy 6... Oh and the end boss in Coil 2 looks like it could be Omega weapon
