Meh Delsus just gotta grow thicker skin. That's just how FFXIV end game is unless you play in a bubble. Just use it as motivation to improve your game rather than create a post about it. It's not the parser, it's the player. He would of been a jerk regardless if he was parsing or not. Blacklist the person and never play with him again or just move on if he's not on the same server.

It's not about that, it's more about players who legitimately use parsers who end up being seen as jerks because of the minority of users, as I said before I have no issues with people parsing fights to give constructive criticism, but if the reports keep going in about xxx character was a douchebag, yyy character was an a-hole, zzz character was a jerk because I parsed lowest, why wouldn't SE just say "Ok to prevent the masses of harassment we will start instantly banning players using third party software to parse battles." insert an algorithm to detect a third party program accessing chat logs, or keep them server side, then legitimate players are affected.whereas right now we can use parsers now, speak about them in vent/TS3/Mumble/ people you know, but it would take very little effort to change that.

How about no and instead you follow Doo's advise up above?
We were promised addon support long ago and it's still coming; so why not try and adapt to it, instead of trying to get everyone else to adapt to you?
I get that you want people to be nicer, (This isn't about parsers, that much is obvious to anyone who is seeing this clearly) but you have to be realistic. You're playing an online video game, with thousands of different people, from different backgrounds, different cultures, different approaches at life. You can't honestly hope to change all that and somehow adapt them to whatever imagine you have in your head.

This is why, if you scroll down to that "Rated T for Teen" icon, states "Online interactions not rated by the ESRB".
Because realistically, you can't rate that.

Ok Ok how about I start every party and every thread on here by saying "HEYA ASSHOLES" because I think that's polite.

Whilst we have different backgrounds and cultures, we all have a very similar idea of being polite. we all know what can offend people in the current context. Would you walk up to anyone in the world, and say (in their language) "YOU SUCK FOR (insert random reason for sucking here)"

In all other MMOs I have played people don't say anything like "YOU SUCK", It's more like "Delsus your dps is lower than expected can you look at your rotations" Or "Delsus your gear isn't as good as it could be, you will perform much better if you get xxx gear." ARR might have been good for FFXIV in general (which I agree with) but we have gained a very toxic community as a downside.

Well the first part is blowing it out of proportion. However, I don't think everyone should be forced to be polite. Though I rarely do anything with pugs, outside selling them extreme clears, I typically will not say much in a random party except when I see something is going wrong. If the person didn't say they were new or learning I'll be like, "Let's pick up the DPS." or "RandomMNK you having some problems or something?" I do understand for melee learning a boss' rotation can hamper your dps, but hey if you are unfamiliar with something and don't want people to be rude; come out and say "I'm not very familiar with the fight but I'll do my best."

TLDR: If you expect people to be polite then be upfront about familiarity with the fight.

If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.

Delbutt, you don't have me to carry you through content anymore.

Did this really need a whole thread of "QQ someone called me bad"?

    Man up, move on.
