Man, if you guys really care about still wanting to use parsers, I say we stop talking about it yeah? This goes to page 40 and I think someone's gonna notice =)

You people are thinking into this way too much. Parsing is punishable, not because people are harassing with it, but because ps3 players can't use them. ANYTHING that gives one player an advantage over another is illegal. So yes, it doesn't matter if you're harassing someone or not, making a single mention that you are running a parser risks you getting noticed by the GM team. Even someone in your own FC could report you. The best you can do is be as vague as possible when letting someone know they were underperforming.

But you don't see the point I'm making he just said "Delsus are you trolling" which is why I'm calling him a douchebag, what I would say in his shoes is "delsus your damage was only xxk, could you focus a little more" so many people don't understand it's not what you say, it's how you say it. If someone wants to use a parser to help me fine, but when they are saying things that make them sound like an ass, then they deserve whatever they get. I know my rotations, I was just lagging a lot, but be an ass to me and I'll be an ass back.

Thank you! Something that constantly goes over the heads of these "people." Parsers would be great all around if our beloved western culture had any semblance of compassion and common decency. It doesnt, however, and therefore should not be given yet another tool to be 'douchebags' with. The group wiped so, if it was found to be from the lack of DPS (like an enrage timer), then yeah, its perfectly fine to PM them or even politely explain over party chat. Starting out with "Are you trolling" is childish, stupid, and singles people out which puts people on the defensive, and only causes more unnecessary drama for groups. The irony being this troll, is asking someone else if theyre trolling.

Maybe when we stop being such d-bags to each other maybe some of the more respectable companies will allow for in game parsers like this. Until then, we reap what we sow.

Parsers currently are a bannable offense, as others have pointed out. I get both sides of the parser argument. I wish they were "legal" in that I like using them for guild/free company runs. When you aren't meeting some sort of dps mark, it's not always possible to know who is the one that needs to work on stuff just from what the game gives us. On the other hand, parsers tend to lead to inevitable hikes in what you need to be outputting to even run with a premade group.. but so does ilvl.. and there's always the argument of "make your own group" thrown at people who don't like it.

Jerks will be jerks though. The person who's gonna berate you with parser numbers is also likely to berate you without them. Personally, I wouldn't find someone asking if I was trolling that offensive.. but to each their own.

1.- Report Him for harrassment for use a third party tool.

2.- Do not fight back him, just do the report.

Im 99% sure he will get a temporal ban.

The parse is a good tool if you will use that with your "FC" or for personal inprovement. "Not to harras to the players".

In FFXI Sorry but is true.... You could press your fingers like a Retard in VW, einherjar, Dynamis lord, legion for "win" the parse, but in ARR you need avoid Aoes, move constantly and use your brain more than just BASH the Spellcast macro...

Probably if you are eating all the AoE, damage just for win a parse you are gimping the perfomance by your group "Mister douchebag".

I do not want sound offensive.... But.. Most the douches elitist are people really annoying. The People want avoid you all cost...

1.- Most of your Static Members want you "Leave" the static because you are unbearable
2.- You put a lot of stress on the healers, most the time you are eating tons of damage =/
3.- The leaders and the rest the group usually ignore you during the run, or they do not listen your commentaries.. in the vent or skype most them have you muted and you haven't noticed LOL

If i have pick a 300 DPS with a good attitude, friendly and social vs a 340 DPS douch, i pick forever the 300 DPS.
