Abilitity to use Lodestone avatars on the forum?

When the new character linking feature was implemented, I had hoped it would include the option to use our main character's Lodestone avatar as our avatar on the forums as well. However, upon logging into the forum and linking my character to my forum account, I discovered that this was not the case.

I would much rather use my Lodestone avatar, as it actually looks like my in-game character, and not some generic, pre-set avatar that everyone else is using, too. My Lodestone avatar is unique to me and my character, but my forum avatar is common and used by tons of other people.

As you can see, it is much more unique than the standard avatar I'm currently using. Plus, as you can also see from the URL, it's already hosted on the servers of the official FFXIV website, which is why I don't understand why it can't be used as my avatar here on the forums. Is it really that hard for the web designers at SE to program this functionality? Or is there some other reason why this feature wasn't added?

Your avatar on the forums is like your face, which is why it's so important that people be able to have unique avatars. Would you rather be wearing some generic face used by everyone else, or would you want a unique face that distinguishes you from the crowd?

If we could just use our Lodestone avatars on the forums, it would be a significant improvement.
