Jumping lag?

Hi, I played FFXIV back when it relaunched for a few months and then stopped. Recently I decided to give it another try and noticed immediately there is a delay of about 1 to 1.5 seconds from when I press my space bar and when my character jumps on screen. I don't recall this delay before. It's just enough to be frustrating and perhaps game breaking for me.

Anyone have this or any suggestions?

lots of threads about the lag in this forum. There are issues server side that SE is currently investigating and trying to address (their second attempt this month is what today's maintenance is about).

Otherwise, there is a lot of data out there pointing to issues in route as people are cutting across the ocean/country to get to Montreal. The more common offenders have been level3, TATA, and Cogentco. May help if you run some traces when things are good and bad to the server your client is using (not the old 184 IP's that keep getting posted... the Canadian servers start with 199). IF you see something out of sorts, run some to other common sites to see if you can see it happening elsewhere as well. If you do, then there is definitely something for your ISP to deal with.

Getting them to take action can be tricky though... but if you have the data to back up your claim and can get through to Tier3 support, you should be able to get someone to look into it on your behalf.
