Using that this game is in alpha or beta for excuse is beyond stupid (even though the current state can be compared to them). Last time I checked this game is released.

This isn't something new or from out of the blue. This game was made with a promise to be solo player friendly. Ya I think there should be more group content as well, however, I feel this is a good direction to at least grab some solo players that have rage quit back into the game.

Regardless, I think we'll all just continue doing leves like normal, even if it gives us less SP in parties. It's not like we have much choice. I just hope 1.19 comes fast and that they won't delay too much of what's promised in that patch to 1.20 (we all know it will happen).

Isn't MRD the only battle-guild currently in use in Limsa? Eight-man MRD parties anyone? ^^

Not to mention, what are the odds of 4+ people getting the same leves anyway? Especially now that they're making failing leves less attractive.
I think they are trying to ween people off of leves, which is a good thing to do, since they are drastically reducing leve implications on the game. I am sure they realize that they will need to increase some of the mob spawn rates to accomodate for the increase in pts that will be grinding. I am sure they will also be adding something else to fill the void that will be left when leves are downscaled.

yeah they realize it and will undergo cost analysis and discussions about the possible implementation of the beginnings of mob adjustments some time in the future. just hang in there and wait for them.I think they are trying to ween people off of leves, which is a good thing to do, since they are drastically reducing leve implications on the game. darkstarpoet, what state is XIV in? Would you call the game "retail ready" yet? Are you paying to play? You don't seem to understand that although SE has not officially labeled XIV as back in Beta, it most certainly is at that stage.
It will be fixed as soon as they can. It's as simple as that.

balbanes, did we or did we not buy a retail copy? just because some on these forums want to call this beta does not change the fact you can still buy the retail version of the game in stores....aka it is released not beta.darkstarpoet, what state is XIV in? would i call it retail ready? no not at all, but undoubtedly se did since they did and still are selling the game.
if se were to take it back to beta they would only need to stop selling the retail version in stores. i know my local game stop still sells it because i bought a copy for my mule just about a week ago.

Since we are currently not paying to play, it is pretty safe to assume the game is not retail ready and that technically we are still in beta. Most of us wanted to be in beta, we just all ended up having to pay cash to do sodarkstarpoet, what state is XIV in? Would you call the game "retail ready" yet? Are you paying to play?
