    [Game] Make a Class/Job format!

    Basically map out your idea of how the new classes/jobs will work!
    Everything has to line up like it does IN GAME! I.E. Classes and jobs use the same weapons [(I will accept similar though!)And you can makeshift a new class so long as it fits the in game mechanics]
    Also! I'm going off the idea that new Jobs branching from vanilla classes will have a different party role from their counterpart! Ex: SUM(DPS) & SCH(HEAL)
    Feel free to throw in any skill mechanics you think they may implement or you just like
    USE THIS FORMAT!

    Job: Red Mage
    Branching Class: Gladiator(Sword and Shield)
    Secondary Class: Thaumaturge
    3rd Class for skill pulls: Conjurer
    Role: DPS

    Possible Skill: Red Shuffle (Works like Cleric Stance) When active RS Swaps your STR & INT stats. The idea being that you would want to shuffle between on/off depending on what skills you're gonna use, as to Maximize DPS

    Fun thread idea but the above wouldnt work so well because the red mage could red shuffle with cleric stance on. This would be buggy, also would make cleric stance possibly pointless thus it wouldnt use cnj support or it wouldn't have the shuffle.

    If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.

    Good catch! I hadn't thought of that! But maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing. Use RS. then CS Swap STR & INT, then INT & MND allowing you to use the healing spells you pull (if you so choose) The trick being you have to be careful. Making Red Mage harder to master but extremely beneficial if you can?

    The idea of the post is that I'm sick of seeing I want this or that job without anything backing it up. I want to see people looking at New Jobs from a dev point of view and see what comes out!

    Branching Class: Thaumaturge
    Secondary Class: Arcanist
    3rd Class for skill pulls: Conjurer or Archer?
    Role: Tank

    Job Skills centered around being single target defensive spells.

    Basically, my idea was to have a class that has just one pet that is a tank. Then the Necromancer casts defensive spells acts as another DPS in down time. Pull from Arcanist for Physik and Sustain for minor healing. Also, DoTs from Arcanist to partner with the attacking spells from Thaumaturge. Pet and Necromancer share an HP pool.

    Possible Job Skills:
    Solidify, cast flesh toughening magic on pet increasing defense by 20% for 18 seconds. Cool down of 120 seconds.
    Reposition, teleport pet to a placed location. Cool down of 10 seconds.

    Meh?

    A pet tank would be rough to control. Tanking is about positioning mobs and moving around to different areas of the stage.

    But a Necromancer / Beastmaster type job would be cool for DPS

    Job : THF and NIN
    Class : Rogue
    Sub Class : ARC for THF and PUG for NIN
    Cross Class : GLD for THF and THM for NIN
    Role : DPS and DPS or TANK

    Weapons : 2 x Dagger , Off hand could be a 1 Hand Xbow or Shurikens. More classes need to make use of the Off Hand slot. ( which would make it a different starting class than GLD, like alot of others have suggested would be the starting Class)

    NIN Role : Similar to FFXI with Ninjitsu spells, but this time around, in accordance with how XIV is played, you will not have to buy the spells or use Tools to cast. So it can be a Melee / Mage style play. Or Shadow Tank idk?? Heh.

    THF Role : Stealthy Attacks, based off of disorienting the target and confusing it as to who is actually attacking. Sneak and Trick Attack could make a come back. Along with Multi Hits per attack round.

    I thought of that too. I know some SCH pull so they can DPS as well. So maybe just don't allow RDM to pull it?
