Since the implementation of patch 2.16 which occurred on Feb. 20, several major issues have arisen for which we deeply apologise. We would like to report the current findings of our investigations as well as the progress of the countermeasures we are taking to address these issues.

■Regarding Technical Difficulties Which Affected the Japan Data Centre Worlds On Feb. 26, 2014 at around 13:29 (GMT): some players would become disconnected from the Japan data centre Worlds.

Regarding this issue, the disconnects would occur as players were being transferred to instances, and our subsequent investigation revealed the problem was due to the settings on the server which bridges the regular World with the instance World. Immediately upon this discovery, we performed an all-Worlds emergency maintenance to fix this issue.

Since then, no more issues stemming from this cause have occurred.

■Regarding Issues in Which Players Are Disconnected From Certain Instances Currently, on several data centre Worlds some players are being disconnected from certain instances.

Since patch 2.16, the number of players entering instances has increased, and as a result, the instance World servers have been subjected to heavy load, especially during peak hours, causing the servers which handle the instance areas to go down. The Primal data centre Worlds in particular have been extremely congested, causing a high occurrence of crashes. As an additional note, as of the maintenance which occurred on Mar. 3, 2014 from 7:00 to 10:00 (GMT), we attempted server setting changes to try to address the issue, but unfortunately the problem continues to persist.

We deeply apologise for the inconvenience, but we ask for your patience and understanding as we continue to work toward correcting the situation.

As an additional note, if you experience a 90000 error while in an instance and become disconnected from the server, so long as there is no issue affecting the server which oversees the entire instance World, you will still be able to instantly return to the regular World; therefore, in such a case we ask that you please try logging in again.

■Regarding Issues Preventing Players to Login, or Items Become Lost (Occurs Rarely) Currently, primarily affecting the Japan data centre Worlds, we have confirmed that there is sometimes an issue which affects item data, causing an inability to log in due to a 1016 error, as well as a rarely occurring issue causing items to be lost. At the present time, the root cause is still unknown, and we are hurrying to find the source of the problem so that we may address it.

In the meantime, we are conducting daily analyses of data from our database servers and implementing temporary countermeasures against these issues as they crop up, but if you experience a 1016 error and become unable to log back in even after waiting some time, or if an item should inexplicably become lost, we ask that you please contact the in-game support desk or go to the Bug Reports section of the official forums, and submit details there.

We deeply apologise for the inconvenience.
