From what the preview shows of the glamor system, the armor name of the worn piece completely disappears. This will get in the way of trying to figure out what gear you're wearing and what gear other people are actually wearing.

Additionally because of the name changes, gear checking people's average item level will become significantly harder since with glamor you'd have to individually check each piece to see what item level they are. Then figure out their item level yourself.

People are already scamming their way into parties by saying they have X item level, so at the very least allow us to see people's average item level (and real item names) without us having to cross reference for ourselves to figure out what it really is.

I'm afraid that you'll still have to check every person individually to see what they are actually wearing.
I do hope they'll implement something where you can see the player's actual item level quickly though.
