Account-Wide Retainer Service

This game really needs a way for you to transfer goods between characters on the same account who are on the same server without having to go through an intermediary player. This will prevent the risk of someone stealing items or gil from you.

Thus I propose that the community as a whole advocate the addition of Account-Wide Retainers! These retainers would be just like any other Retainer, except that they would not be able to access the Market Boards on a specific Server. Rather they would simply be able to store items and gil. The main difference however is that they would be accessible by any character on a given server who shares an account with that Retainer.

sounds good but lets add an extra bit to it.

You only get 1 of these special retainers (would probably dress in Black/Gold instead of Blue/Red).
You can only store 25-50 items with the retainer.
You have to get to the part of the story where you can access a retainer to use this special retainer.

I sincerely hope that Free Company housing fulfills this role, ie has a chest in it like the FC chest but instead is only accessible by all of your characters on that same server.

sounds good to me. It just strikes me as odd that they had all those problems in XI with people stealing items, and they didn't implement this system right away.
