Prepare to Die!

Hi everyone!!!

A few months back my Free Company had the idea to make a Dark Souls inspired dungeon run, running all of the dungeons using really basic gear. Starting with a few pieces of gear and using nothing but the gear we gained from dungeons (With the exception of weapons because we didn't want to make it impossible).

With the release of Dark Souls 2, we decided to update our rules, make it a bit more difficult, and run it again this weekend.

Last time was a hilarious mess, we survived well until Haukke Manor then it started spiraling downhill after the tank died first. We eventually managed to crawl our way to Temple of Qarn where our tank lost his final life to... final sting! It was hilarious, but even without a tank, we managed to complete the dungeon, by some miracle. Unfortunately, Cutter's Cry finished us off.

Did an Ifrit story run with a Paladin in Valentione gear... worked fine...

6 FC members and I were bored and did Ifrit Hard in all swimsuits and DFed a tank.

We won ... the tank was like WTH? It was hilarious :3

I have always wanted to get 8 people together, all put on raindeer suits and que up for CT. My FC wouldn't go for it.

With the i13 gear, does it have to be NQ? Or can they be HQ?

Waoh... Sounds like an interesting funny survival idea for when you have no much more to do... I wonder if I'll find people up to do that in Lich, just for fun, no streaming-recording (I have no currently any program good for doing it aside of Xfire)

Um, perhaps I'm misremembering, but I thought final sting used to normally oneshot tanks if you didn't kill the bees fast enough? As in, this was a DPS race mechanic.

Was that nerfed in 2.1 too?
