So I had some downtime at work and decided to think of a dungeon idea for future content. A rough sketch done using an S-Pen on my Galaxy note II so forgive the crudeness.
What do you guys think!? XD

A new dungeon I would like to see would be a deep forest dungeon kind of like thornmarch looking, the walls would move around and change and it would just be a maze where you have to get to the end before the time is up, weak mobs that could be easily soloed should spawn in random locations and there would be boss battles at fixed points kind of as a progress check. The final boss would be Odin so that we have somewhere to fight him other than his FATE so you could actually have a battle with him where you can see what's happening.
Would be nice to have a dungeon that's different every time you run it and the moving walls would be cool cause you could get split up from your party and have to make your own way to the next boss (which is why the random mobs would need to be soloable).
As for drops there could be a kind of Rambo/feral man set from the sub-bosses and odin based weapons from the final boss like his shield and spear and other things with an Odin look to them for other jobs. Aetherial equipment and other loot chests could spawn in some dead ends so not every dead end would be a complete waste of time.

Sorta like the forest area before Viera village in FF12? I thought that was a fun place to kill and level up. The environment was amazing and area had a sort of life to it!
They should definitely open up contests for proposed dungeons, classes, armor for classes, mounts, and etc. I think it would be nice seeing things that a player envisioned come to life. I have a bunch of sketches lying around my desk of possible armor for Dragoons and Warriors XD
Can't say i remember ff12 that well, but I don't think I remember anything like what I'm suggesting in it. If you just mean looks wise then maybe that foggy part of the fey wood yeah. But as for the technical part I want walls that move in real time to block paths and make it so you have to take different routes. Like every minute in the dungeon the walls would move and you'd have to find another way to get to the boss.
Er.. yea just looks wise.
bwahahahaha epic. I love it based off the crude drawings period.
You should have bought an authenticator.....
Your tears feed me....
Your drawing skills are amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It looks like you just played CT and then just tried to draw it.
A fight very much like this was in Eternity Vault in SWToR, every member of the 8-16 man raid had a mob to solo and if anyone else touched it at all, all of the mobs would go immune and wipe the raid, the same would happen if they took too long to kill.So I had some downtime at work and decided to think of a dungeon idea for future content. While entertaining as a joke it is not a very good dungeon design, IMO.
Getting punished for helping your team mates isn't exactly promoting team work which is what these are supposed to do, you know? The game already feels like a game where everyone is soloing and doing their own thing. Hell, most FCs I've been in feel more like LS/chat rooms than actual guilds (as in a large group that does things together) =(
