Reading and/or hearing some random guy speak; who I do not even play the game with is dissatisfying just to know what the hell to do. FFXIV ARR "duty" briefing is so obscure it doesn't even talk about what the hell you're actually going to be looking out for... instead it gives you this unimpressive and vague description...

How about you(SE) do some sort of fully voice-acted mission briefing cut-scene, like when you accept the duty from the NPC you will be given an option to view the battle ground... (e.g. Dzemael Darkhold the NPC outside of the gate or something would be explaining the damn instance cause like... you stand there guarding the place why not know what your guarding?!)

This kinda reminds of something like... a ... hmm... Square likes to put it in their games as of... OH YEAH! That damn Libra mechanic tutorial you like shoving down my throat in your single player games! ..... -_-.

Some sort of Libra NPC where it talks about the monster or key mechanics to lookout for to give new players a GIST of things to come. (e.g. Take same example as above and create some sort of immersive dialogue of the first fight but do not give it blatantly away were you actually gotta position yourself; instead say like... "The Ahriman seems to be susceptible to the natural crystal ore in the area" or some lame description like that."

I would like to be fully immersed when I double click on my game... I do not want to dual screen something when I play a game. Asking for help is a lot harder this time around, and I do not need to explain why... That being said... You all ready to watch/read up on your Leviathan?>!?!...

Please hold my hand throughout the entirety of this MMO, explaining every mobs attack routine and weaknesses, kissing my booboos every time I fall down. I'd also appreciate it if for the first 3 times I do a dungeon, I had the Echo buff. It would be nice if I could turn it back on in later runs as well, just in case I forgot what to do.

These battle tips tend to show in the battle log as they are happening. That said having them voiced sounds nice as a option. It would not be lore breaking assuming the npc at the gate gives you a LS on the way in.

Off topic: you can edit your posts to get around the char limit instead of doing a cont.

I don't think it's necessary but it won't be gamebreaking as well. The second poster is overreacting. mechanics in this game aren't hard to figure out perhaps save twisters pre nerf. It's knowing the mechanics but failing the execution therein lies the problem.

1. If you wish to watch a video on a specific dungeon there is a thing called "YouTube" that can help
2. The English language has a varied selection punctuation, for example, commas. This eliminates the need to separate your sentences with a "....."
3. You can "edit" your initial post to break the character restriction limit to make a neater and less spread out opening post
