Extend Blacklist to account, not character

Thank you for the response, kidvideo. Hopefully, I can provide some explanation that may help by discussing three countermeasures.

The blacklist is a character-focused resolution, preventing messages and other interactions from that character. Advertisements from another character would require an additional blacklist entry to prevent, and possibly additional reports to the Game Masters, so that we can investigate additional accounts that may be engaging in RMT solicitation.

Can the 'Add to Blacklist' apply to the entire account, instead of just the offending player character? This would improve QoL by reducing RMT spam from accounts that delete and re-create characters every 2 hours. And I don't think I'd mind having the alts of players I don't like blocked as a bonus either.

The number of RMT players i must add per day has increased in the past weeks.

1 - 2 Month ago was 1 - 3 per day.

In the present i must add 8 - 15 RMT players "per day".

I agree allow us the the blacklist option be "Account Blacklist" and not character, this will help reduce the RMT tells a lot.

It wouldn't be as much use as you think. The blacklist isn't for the entire account but the suspension that follows it (assuming people reported the spammer) does lock the entire account. Don't underestimate the RMT. They happily create brand new accounts and highjack legit accounts. You can tell by the number of people in your blacklist that actually read as "DELETED" how often they actually delete a character and recreate them on the same account. It isn't often. They're more likely to use all the chars available on the account all at once on different servers.

Make it where Linkshells, Free company and people who are actually on friends list who can send /tell's

If people want to invite friends, there is always /say and if they were friends already I am sure there is other means in contacting them and getting them on your friends list or free company.

As for the invite spam that is simple, change how you invite players to be friends.

Simply put out something out in each town that they both can click and brings up their names and they can invite from there or you have to just be right in there face to invite as a friend.. This way no more random world invites

I right now have my /tells off due to it being a hub for Gil sellers but they still send me invites and that gets on my nerves.

Or you can just say screw all of that.

Take a Page out of FFXI bring that filter here where deemed tell spam are filtered out and give me a online to invisible status so they cant invite.

there's little reason i would want only one character on a person's account blocked anyway and usually players i find annoying enough to actually blacklist are the type that would actually make an alt to keep up the harassment.
