Can you voice chat in Linkshell?

I have a headset and want to voice chat with my Linkshell can it be done?

Sadly, the current FFXIV build does not support a voice server. If you want to chat with a linkshell, you will have to use a third-party program in conjunction with the game. Popular programs are teamspeak, mumble, ventrillo, and raidcall. Raidcall is a free program so it probably requires the least investment for all members of your LS. That said, they still have to be willing to download and install the program and get microphones. On the upside, many of these programs have mobile apps for a phone, allowing ps3 and ps4 players to use them.

If you are looking for transcription software so you can voice a message and have the program type it in the chat log, I can simply say they exist. Unfortunately, they can be expensive and I cannot recommend any freeware programs with enough functionality to let you chat with your LS using your voice. The Playstation has no such program available in the store if you are seeking this feature for the console.
