Quest Armor Color

Not really too pressing of a question, but how is the color of armor given to you through quests determined? Is it based off of your character's hair, body paint, and eye color, or is completely random?

It's a set color every time. You do have the option to dye the armor something different after you finish the quest in Vesper Bay

I'm pretty sure it's random. I know I've gotten gear colors on Y'kayah that I never saw on Navarre, for instance. It's possible those were cases where I selected a different reward item, but as they're both primary DoW classes, I was usually selecting similar gear on most early quests, at least up until tank gear started being differentiated from other DoW. (Navarre is primarily GLD. Y'kayah is primarily ARC.)

At least the quest windows will now show you what color you're going to get on the little dot in the corner of the icon. It used to be that we wouldn't know what color it would be until we got the gear.

Depending of the quests... In gathering quests for example, you always receive of a certain color. For example, the botanists receive their first kurta red. Miners dark blue, fishers cyan-light blue.

I think every quest that gives you items have already set a color, (It seems especially made for make the character look awkward until you have abbility for dying, nya!) Some quests show you the color before giving you the item, others show the item like if it would be without dye, but then when you receive it, it's already dyed.

Thanks for the responses! I haven't gotten around to trying to dye anything yet since I figure I get a new set every 8~ish levels and might as well put that off. What prompted my question was that I seem to always get stuff that's green, purple, or white which were more or less the 3 base colors I picked when making my character.
