ppl now quit raiding and now they are making money

including myself since i got nothing to do

so i went to make money way while im waiting for 2.2

i started crafting, selling and spiritbonding but i noticed

that im not the only guy doing so many more ppl looking for ways to gain gil

they quit raiding after they got their allagan weapon

MB got full of things to sell prices dropped to where anyone can buy which its a good sign so they kicked greedy merchants on the ass

SE need to implement something to use our gil for instead of FC house and upcoming personal housing

    lol what?

If you are just now noticing people crafting, then you really must not pay attention to the cities at all. People have been crafting since release like that, they didn't just start doing it.

Also, you need to learn how the market is supposed to work. Undercutting prices on items to the point to where they don't cost much of anything is a BAD THING, not a good thing. The less gil being used to buy items, means the less gil there is changing hands. The fact that many items are being undercut by hundreds, sometimes thousands of gil is not a kick in the face of greedy merchants, its inconsiderate people tanking the player market. When many items being crafted and sold actually end up costing more to make then they sell for, it causes players to lose money(even if it appears you're making money, you're still losing money as you're not making the amount you should be making), and in the real world, that's how companies lose money and go out of business. You can sell you item for a few gil less then someone else, and not hurt the market, but if you're tanking the price of items, then your just an inconsiderate person that would rather see the player market crash completely, then anyone succeed. Wish we could report people for massively undercutting the price of items on the market.

EDIT: FYI, if less money is changing hands because of low market prices, Square will look at it as a reason to nerf the means of gaining gil outside of the market, which in turn will hurt new players who have nothing to start with.

A lot of things are selling now for less than the raw material price because of how messed up this game's economy is while also having crafting be nearly worthless.

TIL wanting to actually make a profit off of the things I took the time to craft is considered greedy.

    Good to know!

Easiest money outside of selling primal clears is just farming a 3x turn in crafting leve with HQ turn ins. I get 3k per leve plus items to make more. There's also the daily maps with a chance at a 250k to 350k minion drop. Materia prices are slowly bottoming out, but I suspect tier V materia will enter the equation soon, so that could be a thing.

Gathering materia prices *may* spike come 2.2. Devs have already announced new gathering materials that require high stats to obtain, thus the need for actually melding your gathering gear now. The variable here though is that are these high level gathering items worth gathering, and if so, do they justify the materia overmeld costs?
