The Japanese RMT just as much as us westerners but they use different companies.
Companies that don't do ingame advertising, if you are in Japan and visit a FF community site not hosted by SE that allows advertising however you will be swarmed by banners of Japanese RMT sites.

Hello, all! This is LGM Enkrateia here. I had posted this in another thread; however, the information does seem relevant.

Might I suggest SE implement a system similar to what is found in MMOs like WoW? They have a function when you right click on a person's name in chat where you can report them. A number of options come up when you click that (helps Blizzard keep reports organized), including things like harrassment, reporting their name, and "spam". The latter is generally used for RMT folk. If you report someone for spam, it auto-ignores that person temporarily (I can't remember if it's a 24 hour thing or just until you re-log). This allows people to both report and ignore RMT spam while not taking up any space on their blacklist.

Now, now, just because one character is in Sargatanas doesn't mean there is not one on another server. Remember Sargatanas is Legacy and Legacy get free stuff, like character creation.

Who's been to Japan on more than a few occasions, seeing plenty of localized advertisement banners while checking in on sites like FFXIAH.
If you think Japanese players don't, or hardly do RMT you will need to replace those rose tinted glasses.

They do it plenty, but use local companies and they don't do in-game advertisements.

Thank you for the explanation... but something isn't working sufficiently. I keep getting tells from made up character names, sometimes they're deleted right away, often I'll get repeated tells from the same name. If I blacklist then fast enough, I'll get the same tell from a different made up character name.

How about giving us a "Right-Click to report" option that records the last chat log for GM's? I doubt many people stop what they're doing in the game to send a report through the menu... especially for the crazy made up names like "Sdfdsfd Fxdxfd".

I also don't understand how these sellers get banned, yet always come back with new accounts & are allowed to pay the subscription.
