I really like the way con and thm are set up now in some aspects and dislike in others.

I like how a thm is a user of magic from light and dark, life and death, astral and umbral
Where the con is a user of elemental magics

I understand the confusion because these are not typical ff roles and do not fit into perfect categories of whm and blm, but thats WHY i like them its different, however now that they have decided to put the classic ff role as whm and blm into the game it makes thses classes confusing because they dont have predefined roles, they can be played how you want to, and thats what I really liked about the current system, however people need these predefined roles of your a healer, your a nuker, etc because people like to be told which direction to go, and ultimately makes it easier to play in parties when your job is already layed out for you and you dont have to figure out for yourself what to do.

Given more options for classes and more time for people to figure out good party concepts I think the class system would have stood fine on its own with some fixing and tweaking, but Im looking forward to the new changes.

I think at this point its impossible to decide if con=whm or con=blm because as I stated the class and jobs just dont line up, they will have to change things like certain abilities etc.
