
SWTOR didn't implement it well, that was their first dungeon for their first MMO when they did it, if done correctly, a split off where 8 people all have to solo something would be fun and it would require actual skill from all 8 players, not just 1 or 2.That's what I was going to say. This fight has basically been done before, and it's actually really lame and boring.
And if you think it's bad when you try to do something like Titan and there's that one preson messing up over and over again, wait until you do this fight and you have someone who absolutely can't do something so simple as solo their own enemy. I remember my raid team having to let one of our damage dealers take one of the easier targets (meant for tanks to fight), because the guy sucked so bad he couldn't handle the enemy he was meant to fight.
While entertaining as a joke it is not a very good dungeon design, IMO.
Getting punished for helping your team mates isn't exactly promoting team work which is what these are supposed to do, you know? The game already feels like a game where everyone is soloing and doing their own thing. Hell, most FCs I've been in feel more like LS/chat rooms than actual guilds (as in a large group that does things together) =(
