You do not seem to understand the request or the reasoning behind it. If everyone could "think to check the time" there would be no reason that /clock wouldn't suffice. The entire point of this request is that when drawn into a game, or any fun activity, time can pass quickly without you ever stopping question what time it is. Putting a clock on screen where you are bound to see it very often (like where the game clock currently is by the oft used mini-map) forces you to be aware of the time (more subconsciously, than anything) without having to be distracted by constantly checking what time it is.

I clearly got your point anyway.
Time passes when I play Duke Nukem Forever, but I don't/can't check the time in an in-game feature.
Time passes when I play Super Meat Boy, but I don't/can't check the time in an in-game feature.
Time passes when I play DoDonPachi, but I can't check the time in an in-game feature.
If you have a clock inside your room, or simply your watch or handyphone, you'll check time very often if you have appointments or if it's almost time to eat.
You don't need an interface element to keep track of the time. Dang, I play Fullscreen without Steam support (which lags my game) and it's me who times for Behests and Low-ranked NMs

It's a damn clock, just agree and move on. For convenience's sake, it's a good idea.

    End of.
You are my hero. OP specifically makes it a point to say it's not that serious and should not be a priority, but it would be nice. That's absolutely all there should be to this!

Make it optional, please. The UI is already painful enough.

I've gotta agree here. It's a nice thing to throw in, but it's not really necessary. My laptop, and just about every computer, gaming or not, has a clock built in. I guess if you play full screen all the time, which I never do, would make a good reason, but then you can always just do /clock in-game.

I rather they focus on more important things, gaming related, but it is really nice to know they listen to every little thing, great or small.

If you add a clock make sure you can turn it off... those of us that wear wristwatches don't need something else cluttering up our UI.

I agree with you here. And besides it's not really required since they have more important stuff to work on.

I was thinking this just last night! It would be very helpful for me to have an in game clock, please implement it. For those who don't want it a simple toggle on/off solves all problems.

When/if it's added default it to off so people who want it can turn it on rather than the other way around (save flaming).

Your post was based entirely on a point that had nothing to do with the topic at hand, which isn't as clear an indication that you understood the point as you may think.

This, not only is difficult, but also breaks immersion, and makes the game much less fun to play if you are constantly worrying about the time. An on screen clock is designed to prevent the need to be an obsessive time watcher if you have other things that need doing as well and allows you to just relax and play the game with little to no time worries. You can see the time, all the time, it becomes a background thing that is more in your subconscious than anything. Believe me, it works wonders.

You may not, I do. I do not need a interface element to tell me what the in game time is, or what the phase of the moon is, or any other number of interface elements that we have that I find particularly useless. However these have a use for some people, and they are tiny, so its not really an issue. However being able to take one of these UI elements, and turn it into something that enhances my game play, and allows me to relax and enjoy the game, I do not see why some people are so opposed to an optional item, that takes a few moments to develop, that would allow many other players to enjoy the game better. Its not like this is a Jump vs No Jump debate, its a simple clock.
