Just implement it and make it a toggle. Those who want will it be happy and those who don't will toggle it off. Problem solved.

Vote no from me. I don't want more on-screen HUD clutter. The more I can do with less, the better.
A /clock command, a-la FFXI, would suffice.
I was under the impression the UI is built with LUA. If this is the case, it should take like 5 minutes for a professional UI coder to put a clock up. In response to "Is there a huge desire for this?", I'd just like to ask... Why not? It's a clock, a simple feature, most people play video games fullscreen and cannot see desktop clocks. I'm not a professional coder but I have played a lot with LUA and it's a very simple language and adding a clock should probably take less than 5 lines of code.
Alternatively, let us code our own addons so we can make our own clocks.![]()
How about people just DONT like the post if they don't want it, instead of you farming likes by doing the way you are.
While I'm pretty sure the UI is supposed to be LUA, it's easy to add things people may or may not want and then end up with a default UI being way too cluttered. I think they should implement something like this only alongside an update to the interface that allows you to turn any individual item on or off.

A clock Interface should be simple to implement honestly. Maby alittle more complicated in the game not sure never done anything that big. But with C# I can make a clock in less then 3mins which configures itself to your computers timezone, I assume an advanced developer could do the same.
I say add it with an ability to toggle it on or off. That way those who want it can see it those who do not want it taking up screen room can turn it off or press say /clock to see the current Earth time.
This will be especially helpful for those who play in Full Screen mode and the PS3 players in the future who cannot alt/tab and what not to see the time.
Not from me. I'm satisfied with the /clock. But i do believe it would be interesting as an upgraded version of current ingame clock widget (ingame time/moon/weather one)...as soon as we can choose which one to use, i'm looking foward to it! ^^
I would like to see an in-game clock with the current (Earth) time displayed in the UI.
