    Though what bothers me at the posts:
    We realize that currently, the game is lacking in a lot of crowd control type of spells, and we need these to make battles more strategic. To introduce these types of spells, we think one obvious way is to introduce a new caster class that's able to handle them.
    As you know, the biggest problem with adding a new class is all the stuff you have to add with it. If you add a new class, you have to add a new job. When you add a new class and job, it means you have class and job quests and then you have class and job items and then you have battle balance and so it’s a lot of extra work.
    Isn't Arcanist exactly what he wants for the next caster? It's descriptions lays traps for enemies with magic. It's items are already designed, it's guild is already there, and as far as I can remember Arcanist was supposed to be out at the same time as the release. The Job was mentioned to Be Geomancer. So like I said what is exactly holding up this class from being released?

    They are currently in the process or reallocating abilities for all 7 classes right now. I could've sworn I read that it was suppose to be out today but it will be soon.

    Introduce Jobs and balance as well.

    I think reallocating skills for 7 classes, introducing 7 new jobs, and balancing them all is quite a monumental task. 1.18 the archers were the preferred class for r45 dungeon and now in 1.19 lancers are preferred class for ifrit. As you can see, SE, although doing a great job, has not perfected the concept of class balance. 7 classes + 7 jobs is going to be hell to balance if they can't quite get 7 classes balanced. Added an 8th or 9th class (DOM) + their respective job would only add to an already difficult balancing act. Let them get what they have right first and that's what they are trying to do.

    P.S. This is no way meant to be a bash to SE just that it takes time.

    EDIT: This is similar to the introduction of the Death Knight in WOW. It took them vanilla wow + TBC before they introduced one new class with the 2nd expansion (3 or 4 years). Anyone who knows wow will tell you class balance has and never will be perfect.

    I can not wait for a new DoM. I'm sick of THM nobody wants them for dungeons/ifrit. Can't wait for the job system and the redistribution of abilities, skills, and traits. Just hope that they implement it with while keeping in mind that people will want to play them in dungeons and big fights.
