100% true. 8 man content is for ppl that can play a lot and full time. I know that ppl w/o work girl and family ll play from morning -.- With a 20 man raid this is different bc 20 no lifer are hard to found.
BTW gl to all for kills![]()
Kudos to any Team that clears without having to look up the strategy used by another group, regardless of how fast they do it.

World first never mattered, at least to people with more important goals, which is basically anything in real life. If something, the only credit given should be to the pioneers that discover the core strategy to defeat an encounter. If you already know what to do, does it matter if you beat it 24 hours or 5 days after it came out? It's not like the difficulty was lower the longer it took to beat it.
In the days before test servers world firsts mattered in so much as the uber guilds would essentially be open-world testers. They'd post huge threads about encounter design lambasting the developers and demanding tweaks to enable the content to be beatable (while closely guarding their strategies) and after subsequent tweaks by the devs they'd lord it over the lesser guilds claiming they, and only they, beat the pre-nerf content and that everyone else should be grateful for their intervention in enabling the rest of the peasants to be able to play the game.World first never mattered, at least to people with more important goals, which is basically anything in real life. Google Furor and Tigole for examples of this.
I agree with the general sentiment of your post however.
