Idea for Mystic Knight / Red Mage / Dark Knight

I always figured that Red Mage and Dark Knight really weren't that different, seeing as they are the only two classes that can use Black Magic other than Black Mages. Mystic Knight is somewhat different, but I felt like Red Mage and Dark Knight could both grow out of that base.

Red Mage would be primarily a healer, but they can do decent damage depending on which Sword ability they have active (Mana Sword from Mystic Knight or their Job specific Healing Sword).

Dark Knight is all damage, with a handful of draining abilities and additional damage from sacrificing health.

My full description is on Google Drive here: Mystic Knight

Dont think there gonna be adding rdm or mythic knight at all mainly because other jobs already do those kinda things rdm can do and players already got rdm in classes.

Knight=Dark Knight, Necomancer=Dark Knight, Bruce Wayne= Dark Knight
GLA=DNC (What there doing I think)
If anything probably will see Musekteer=RDM/COR/RNG. If its RDM will probably be nothing like Redmages, Probably something like a Bard.

Alot of jobs/classes already play the game and they arent doing anything different. If they were we would of had BRD as support class.

Because MNK already swaps it elemental attacks in combat for different styles. Pretty much can get a RDM by using PUG & using class actions. RDM: (Option to use all elemental spells but at lower tier and is sword combat, RDM have option to access all kindas of actions but not a master of any of them) RDM is just like any other healer. Has healing & has an option to toss elemental attacks at foes. So adding RDM doesn't differ from any of the other jobs already in the game. If they add it in it would play different then anything like RDM before it. All Mythic knight only really adds is elemental weapon attacks but this game doesn't have elemental weakesses so the Job doesnt support the battle system.

DRK never really used Blackmage magic from the get go. Was only in FFXI. If anything they will just add some (dark) unelemental attack like Ruin for DRK and probably give it few LNC actions and wield probably a greatsword. Might even be sword at the start then lead into a greatsword like GLA leading from dagger to sword. Probably call Relic Deathbringer or something.

Why wouldn't they add them? Because we already have melee dps? Because there are already two healers? Beacause some of the abilities that are typically attributed to RDM or DRK are in the game already? However, I am offering a concept of two jobs that will have a slightly different play style than existing healing and damage jobs. That's what new jobs and classes are for, yes? Not to mention that they are both deeply embedded in FF and are loved by longtime fans.

Coming up with these was challenging because FFXIV limits how you can share skills between classes and require a base class and advanced jobs to share weapons. RDM and DRK, as magic users who weild swords, really don't fit into any existing classes as an advanced job. I figured MKN could be a good base class to grow them both into. I wrote a basic story for it to fit it in with current FFXIV lore. Hopefully it makes sense and fits together well, and that others will think about the concept and give it a chance.
