    On Exodus, in my FC we went from 80 active members at peak times to 11-20. Two of our four coil groups are suffering attendance issues due to burn out and lack of interest as well as resentment and arguments that have broken out due to lack of progression frustrations.

    The only thing keeping some of the more advanced players in my group going is trying to beat Titan EM which only 2 out of everyone in my FC has been able to do (and they were tanks). Can't pass turn 5 either. Not much left to do and people are getting frustrated or wnadering off for longer and longer periods of time.

    I have a feeling that 2.2 will be gobbled up by the player base majority rather quickly, leaving them content starved yet again. It seems to be feast or famine with this game so far. I like the game still but it's tough to play without friends or quality players to get through end game content.

    coil lockouts per character PER JOB

    veterans will be able to help newbies

    newbies wont be left in the dust

    you wont be outgearing anything since coil loot is distributed per JOB save for tanks and healers (which we need more of)

    win-win scenario

    I haven't been compelled to log on in a few weeks, mostly because I have more important things to do, but somehow I don't really miss it at this point. After clearing everything, and exploring the majority of what the game has to offer - including jumping into the mountain in coerthas and running around outside the map to explore, I'm simply waiting until new content is released. Right now the development team's STILL playing catch up. This game has amazing potential, and I can't wait to see it really bloom, but as it stands now, it's a bit stagnant for people playing since EA/Launch. And I don't see 2.2 bringing in enough content to keep us occupied long enough unless turns 6-10 will be full retard hard. - which could be fun for the 1% but everyone else will be upset and probably ragequit. I really wish CT was released first like it was designed to, along side BC. 4-5 bosses just doesn't feel like enough. We'll see moving forward though!

    I'm not going to claim that FFXIV is dying or anything. Though that is probably inevitable, as with any MMO (even WoW will die off eventually). I will say my FC is going through the same thing as the OP's. In addition to that the 8+ linkshells that we use to pull back-up people from for our Coil groups are also empty. The fishing linkshell I'm in, and crafting one, have both pretty much died. It's not uncommon to be the only person on. We spent over an hour the other day looking for one dps/tank/healer (because we have people with multiple classes leveled) so we could do Turns 1-4 of Coil. Our group doesn't have a bad attitude, or a bad name for ourselves (we can clear the four turns in under an hour). Most that have pugged with us eventually actually join our FC. There just didn't seem to be anyone on who hadn't already done Coil, or wasn't already in a group (there were 2 other groups in Party Finder for Coil, each missing 1-2 people). Mor'Dhona has also seemed a lot emptier. The huge dense crowding is gone, and there's a smaller sparse crowd there.

    All that being said, I don't play on Mondays. We raid Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm CST. I don't even sign on Monday. For all I know there could be a server queue then, and Mor'Dhona/Wineport could be overflowing. Playing one day a week to knock out content in a few hours doesn't really fit my idea of active.. but maybe that's also just my server, and others haven't shown a decline at all. I don't know.

    FFXIV isn't on the brink of going F2P or shutting down or anything though. I do believe they have got/are getting, a good influx of people from the Steam launch, and from the PS4 launch. Yoshi also never was out to maintain over a million active subs. If I remember right his goal was around 600k.

    I'd like to know if this will be the norm and the producers are happy with it
    I've been in 4 large fcs and multiple ls that are down to like 5+ active people. I brought my entire Aion guild here, they ALL including me have left. I feel that the state the game is in, everything being instanced, lock outs, etc. Will be the normal especially after reading that interview with Yoshi and 4gamer. I feel that Yoshi couldn't really handle hardcore gaming (Idk why he calls himself hardcore) so he isn't going to make anything close to having a challenge. He swears that, that isn't what mmoers want, which I think is wrong because there are currently no other mmos as easy as this except Hello Kitty. If people really wanted extremely faceroll easy content they would all flock here and stay here. There's just nothing to do in this game except que up for dungeons once a week. Even when they release new content it will all come down to the exact same thing. The game is designed to push you to level cap fast, you get to level cap and then you're only allowed to do something once a week. This is how it will always be, because casuals, this is a casuals game this is not for real mmoers. Didn't they only expect like 300k people? I think they know they aren't going to keep a lot of people which is why they expected so few because of the game's design. It sucks because I really wanted to play this game and I keep trying too :<

    Atleast we'll have something to do! Atleast we'll be able to run it with other people! Atleast other people will be able to catch up depending on how much time they put in. You can't do that with a token system, you will always be behind.

    Lets not forget coil is RNG with a week lock out as well. Everyone thinks it has to be 0.000001% rng OR "Here take this epic for logging in" There can be a middle ground.

    This is the case with all MMOs. People form cliques (like they do in high school / internet forums) and anyone asking for help usually get ignored or scorned. Once a member of the "clique" leaves then she/he must be replaced and that's where the drama comes into play.
