    well, in light of everything, some skills are in fact one class only. While i think singular specializations of one weapon is kind of meh, if you think about it, it wouldnt be that different if they kept the same exact system, and just made some of the higher level skills one class only.

    As long as they dont nerf classes completely, or make the specializations = god mode, you will still be able to create viable builds in freeform mode.
    Now it is possible they will make them god mode, but lets be honest here, there is no way you could tank as well as a glad with a lance, it wouldnt even be a close thing. most of glads superior tanking is tied to shields, and shield skills. you would never fit the role of hardcore tank with a lance.

    as long as they dont completely nerf freeform, you can still build crazy and good builds by mixing and matching. you simply wont get the name paladin, and you probably wont get acess to the most hax role defining skills, but they probably wouldnt have gave it to you anyhow. I mean i want speed surge on pugilist again, but i doubt they will ever give it to me.

    Thats not a failure on my part. And actually all the FF's have a Paladin of some kind. Its just not always called Paladin, Knight is the same thing.

    I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders.     I am upset that Physical Level is being taken out before the Job System is in place, doesn't this kind of limit our characters now? And to what gain if any?

    If anything, Cloud and Squall(and nearly every FFXII character) are "sword users" that you can "mix and match" abilities with.
