    Travel Gaming

Hey guys I am new to threads. lol
I have a question and It seems I need real feedback. I am looking into a tablet or a laptop. I still would like to game on it. Not necessarily FF but D3, or skyryim maybe too. Are there ANY tablets out there or coming out in the next year that will be allowing this? if not what do you guys use if you don't use a desktop and how is it working for you...?

For tablets I run this game fine with medium settings on my MS surface pro so I imagine the pro 2 would run it just as good or better D3 runs well enough never tried skyrim on pc so no idea on that sorry

I have a couple laptops that can run these 2 games well but honestly I can't justify the price point

I would recommend getting a "keyboard case" and a mini mouse if you do plan to play games on the surface pro 2 they aren't bulky (the keyboard being the case you should have a case anyway) so its not zomg too much

Depends how much you're willing to pay. In terms of getting more bang for your buck, it'll always be desktops > laptops > tablets. With that in mind, I suggest getting a laptop with a discrete GPU if you're going to be on the go and gaming.

With that in mind, here's a few I recommend:

    Asus X550LB - i5 4200U, GT 740M. $679.99
    Lenovo IdeaPad Z710 - i7-4700MQ, GT 745M. $879.99
    Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p - i5-4200M, GT 750M (SLI). $1049.00

The IdeaPad Y510p, if you don't mind warmer temperatures from two GPUs (and, respectively, a shorter battery life), will be fantastic for quality gaming while on the go - if you know you're going to be sitting in a hotel room with an outlet, then it should be kind to you. Otherwise, if you're short on cash and are okay with a less powerful laptop, I'd recommend the Asus X550LB. I actually plan to buy it myself in a week or two since I have a desktop I use for more powerful applications, but I'm finding myself moving around more and more lately.
