Genuinely what's wrong about this thread, though? It's just for discussing funny character names and people have divulged literal backstories for theirs at this point. I see no thread similar to this in the first few pages either.

I am nerdy/reference/meme name enjoyer. Well, I tend to name my character so that I can use them as rp puppets if needed. Bit boring but I have better use for my money than put it in name changes so I can run around with funnier name.

I have made dummy characters on each Chaos server to hold a certain name -- name I will probably never use but it's too much fun and I can't believe no one had taken it yet. (To my Finnish understanding friends, it's Terva Leijona, the character are black hrothgars.)

I am only very casual Dune fan, but for some reason no Atreides and Harkonnen running past me goes unnoticed by me.
I once made someone's day by knowing their character name (Hyzenthlay) was from Watership Down.
My wip Viera alt's name is reference to Ronia, the Robber's Daughter, after my friend 10000% disagreed with me naming it Bugs Bunny. One day I'll make alt with name Talonpoika Lalli, I think he will be MRD.
