How do people calling themselves casual feel about the difficulty level?

Sorry Goodberry but what is hard ? You mean doing Sirius with 4 guys with stuff job ? Everything is hard then. If you are prepare and stuff a little and use your brain and try to find all the mechanic of a fight, the game is very easy.

The first boss, you kills all the wolf very fast, the bird, kill one eggs at a time, the last boss, you can stun her, silence her. Nothing is hard. The hard thing of the game is with who you play, if you play with guys who play bad, dps bad, do bad thing, this is not the way intented to clean something.

I would much rather play with "Bad" players than with "Hardcore" players any day of the week so at last there's that.

I guess I should clarify, if you think that someone is bad because they either don't have the same level of experience with any given content or that because someone wipes multiple times on an encounter but has fun makes them bad as opposed to someone who can clear whatever in whenever period of time and acting like a game is easy because of that. Yeah no, not everyone plays on the same level or with the same mindset going in and I would rather have subpar players that can laugh it off and still have something to strive for than the alternative in that case.

I don't even consider myself all too casual and I still haven't downed Titan EX yet. Reasoning being, a) it's a lag check for everybody in the party, b) getting a party that gets it down, c) getting said party to schedule together.

Coil is pretty much the same, with the static I'm in having only recently gotten T1-4 down perfectly, but still struggling to clear T5. Lag, learning the fight, and getting organized are three seperate issues and they clash with progression. It's not up to me alone, it's up to 7 other people too.

I guess if you're lucky you get super-fantastic PUGs that nail this content easy-peasy. Or a solid group that often has time to play together, train together, and quickly takes this content down together. Or some combination thereof.

But bottom line there's nothing about this sort of content that allows it for "casual" players to clear it quickly, barring dumb luck or being carried.

When I see people say things like this, I want them to solve this problem:


For anyone that is in physic or engineering field this is (easy) basic differential equation something everyone of the field should know. So Im suppose expect any random person to know the answer base on your argument? Hardcore gamers are just people that profess in the field of gaming. If you think that you dont study, I ask you how many times did you wipe on Turn 5 when the content was new to everyone? Even for the people that claim world first also claim how much they failed until they got. Nothing is easy unless you experienced it.

Stop downing people because you "think" you are better than them. Help your fellow player or say nothing at all.

There's a nice variety of difficulty in the game. I don't think boredom has to do with being a hardcore or casual player. The majority of players still haven't cleared the hardest content currently. You can test this easily yourself by solo queuing for EX Primals in the DF, which the majority of the player base does, and then report here how many wins out of 10 or 20 were had. I'm no statistician, but from my experiences in the DF I'd wager a guess that close to 80-90% of the player base still has not cleared all 3 EX Primals.

I am sure most of the player pool can't beat titan EX without a carry run (FC/buying/random luck in DF premade/cheat in PF)...

I'm a hardcore gamer but a casual player plus I'm very picky, I wont get the best gear because of the stats I get them cause of the look of them so I still have my WHM/SCH in the DL gear trying to get there ct counter part and my bard/monk are in almost full ct gear cept the head and belt and my drg in tron gear. I still have not done coil I have tried garuda ex but continue to fail at it even though I know the fight, and I for one am thankful for the way SE is doing there ilvl progression cause then I wont have to die so much cause everyone will eventually be too overpowered for the set content and yes I don't care about difficult content if it takes me longer do it so be it there are other things I can do with my time. Since it takes me while to remember the patterns of fights I don't get the best gear like other players do in a short amount of time. Certain fights like titan hm was difficult till I remembered his patterns and can still be a pain if lag spikes come into play and wp can be troublesome with tanks bearly being able to handle 3 stacks then causing a wipe cause the healer did not heal in time so the difficulty is there just not everyone sees it.

Oh i will say what i have done in game like everyone here.

So i have my main a PLD full 90 alagan so my warrior indeed.
My dragoon ilvl 90 too !
My BLM ilvl 86 (mix allagan with ct)
My monk ilvl 84
My SCH who are ilvl 76

Well not that bad, i play till the release on moogle server, i have done so much primal extrem, i done bahamuth everytime, now if you think all of this is too much, i will tell you, when 2.2 is out, you can stuff all class in ilvl 90 in one week. Thing i have done in 6 month ?

Tell me again when you have beaten T5 for the first time ? 1 month ago you were struggling for P2 there. So ok, *maybe* you downed it for 4 weeks now, but still, it took you 6 month. There will be the same step of difficulty for T6-9, prepare for an other 6 month period with a lot of things to do.

gaaah MUST.NOT.RESOLVE... Was too much trouble when I was studying equations, they were everywhere, and so damn boring with sinh(ln(x^4)) all over the place just becaus emy math teacher loved that and loved to destroy any hope in us.. (but yeah this one is easy once you know how equations work)

Been a few years since I did DE's, so I'd need to refresh my skills, but that looks like quite easy one...

I'm casual, I only maxed out one battle job~ WHM ang got my +1 for it. The content that made me feel me challeneged and ultimately "bored", was the extreme primals and to an extent, Ultima HM. Why? Mainly because the "learning parties" I set up typically disband after a single wipe :/ Ultima HM & Garuda ex so far don't seem exceptionally difficult, but just need learning, which is something I'm still incapable of doing due to the lack of learning parties and the impatience of those who participate in them.

Everything else in end game up to Coil 2 felt "OK", not easy but not insanely difficult either.

technically the content is challenge enough but the impatient player & the rage quit make it frustrate to even enjoy it, right ?

and T2 is not that easy either, major of ppl only be able to get pass t2 after the enrage tactic, before that it is pain to pug pt to get it clear
