T5 SMN/BLM

since i've been pugging t5. i've seen many blms with lower than average dps! and i have the same concerns why their dps is below average. with ilvls close to to 90 . and sure above 85.

but yet they parse lower than my bard (im usually 248ish. max i got to 257). it breaks my heart to see blm parse at 190

i dont understand why. its not just him. i've seen it happen for the last 2 weeks.

Can't answer that. Not without seeing it first hand, I could only speculate. In general you would expect BLM close or full ilvl 90 to do 240-270 DPS regardless of RNG in T5. If RNG is kind it should even go higher than that.

My best guess is rotation optimization and mana management. Again speculation.

Thats all it can really come from, it isn't even that hard to get 250+ once rotation is solid so it has to be poor rotation or mp management at i90

That's with having a crappy combination of gear, messing up rotation, getting conflagged, and targeted by dreadknight twice, and having the encounter culling set to 16 seconds, so still ticking after fight was over.

If I had BIS, and got lucky with not getting targeted, would easily be well over 300.

Not really sure he asked for a specific job. Allagan chest is perfectly fine since he doesn't seem to be gearing specifically for Det or crit.
