I would like to be able to buy patterns from my GC that let me craft their green gear. I can then wear the gear I craft or turn it in for GC seals.

Nobody makes GC gear. The only way to obtain it is to purchase it with seals.
My bad. I should better explain myself.
What I was getting at is that "someone" in the story has to be producing it in order for it to exist. Probably the Weavers' Guild. I'd like to be that someone. It would add another dimension to crafting.
If nothing else it would make sense for certain crafting leves to be turned in to GC quartermasters or other staff. From a lore standpoint the most likely pieces would be undyed shirts/ trousers and the like that somebody at the GC presumably alters for their own purposes.
On the flip side, I think I would like to be able to buy CG patterns for seals to unlock the ability to produce GC equipment.
I presume it's the in-universe reason why provisioning missions exist - they recycle the old aetheric/'green' gear you donate into GC gear (that explains why a lot of the Twin Adder metallic armour and weapons has a slight coppery tone no matter the item - they're really much older than the GC make them out to be).
Guess I'm the first one to catch that.
No, you cannot have a Grand Company Seal printing press. Chain run WP and AK like the rest of us.
I would certainly expect it to be limited in some way, just like provisioning is now.
Since I like crafting and want to see it get more rewarding, I'm trying to think of ways to do that. Feel free to be critical and/or constructive.
I'm all for options that expand the utility of crafting, now that the focus of high-end gear has moved almost entirely to tome purchases.
