Was just curious about the macros other Paladins use. Any macros i should use that are really helpful or ones i should consider?
Thank you![]()

Gosh dango darn....
I think a lot of PLD's use
/ac 'Shield Lob'
/mk attack (or attack1)
Provoke macro, Hallowed Ground macro, Cover (?) macro, and a macro asking the other tank to get the hate from you.
That's all there is to is IMO. Unless you want to be fancy and all, then please, by all means put macros in all your buffs.

Macro use and viability depends heavily on how you are controlling your character. Those who play with a controller get different benefits from macros than those who play with a keyboard and mouse.
+1
I macro HG, when it pops and when it ends, in party chat. Also spirits when I'm on silence duty. On PS3. It seems to help.
simple cover one for you, it saves alot of random panic clicks for me..
~~~~~~~~~~~~
/micon "Cover"
/p <Cover> <Just used it.> <tt> <Please Listen.>
/ac "Cover" <tt>
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just hit it if the mob peels off you and makes a beeline for someone. Pops it nice and quick.
Second one I use is just a very easy 3-in-1 for mercy stroke, fast blade, and shield lob. It looks as follows
~~~~~~~~~~~~
/micon "Fast Blade"
/ac "Mercy Stroke" <t>
/ac "Fast Blade" <t>
/ac "Shield Lob" <t>
~~~~~~~~~~~
If you just spam the button on that one, it will trigger lobs instead of FB when in melee range. Just watch you don't slam the button too early.
That's basically all of the macros i use for PLD though.. Don't need much else.

Dreams should be allowed to fly as free as the birds in the sky.
Only 3 of them I use for PLD:
For starting pulls:
For special scenarios:Code:/micon "Fight or Flight" /ac "Fight or Flight" /ac "Bloodbath"
Code:/micon "Spirits Within" /ac "Spirits Within" /p Silenced used! <se.(sound effect of your choice)>Code:/micon "Provoke" /ac "Provoke" /p Provoke used! <t> is now on <me> <se.(sound effect of your choice)>
/micon "stoneskin"
/ac "stoneskin" <mo>
/ac "stoneskin" <me>
should add cover macro lol
WARs love me in things like ultima etc where i swap to OT and throw cover up and stoneskin
In endgame content, macros are basically only useful on PLD to announce things to the party.
However, if you're tanking Light Party content then you can probably macro your defensive buffs together into two categories to make them easier to use consistently.
Silence Macro: to make silence rotations easier to coordinate
/micon "Spirits Within"
/ac "Spirit's Within" <t>
/p -------------------> Silenced. <se.11>
Invincible Macro: so healers know when they have a little leeway
/micon "Hallowed Ground"
/ac "Hallowed Ground" <me>
/p --------------->Invincible for 10s<-------------------- <se.10>
Cover macro: so that you don't have to manually select the person who pulled aggro
/micon "Cover"
/ac "Cover" <tt>
/p --------------->Cover used on <tt>
Offensive Buffs:
/ac "Fight or Flight" <me>
/ac "Bloodbath" <me>
Weak Defensive Buffs: use these as often as you can
/ac "Awareness" <me>
/ac "Foresight" <me>
Strong Defensive Buffs: rotate these if there are no major burst damage mechanics in the fight, or save them for said burst if there are.
/ac "Rampart" <me>
/ac "Convalescence" <me>
/ac "Bulwark" <me>
/ac "Sentinel" <me>
