    How to make gil? Tips

I have some tips on how to make gils. Since gathering and crafting classes are pretty useless for making profit (on my server it is).

Here is how to make profit without knocking on market board.

    1. Treasure Hunting Maps. Very important that you have gathering classes at 50 to gather pesitskin maps only or have Gil to buy them. Start or join the party through party finder or with your friends. Must fill up to 8 and each one have to have one or more pesitskin maps.

With that, you make 13K+ daily. 70K+ per week. Don't bother selling maps unless price is over 15K.

    2. Doing dungeons. You may barely make Gil and at same time repair remove that profit you made. So better grind like a hell. AK gives 3K Gil by clear all mobs.

That's all I know for now. Keep in mind that is possible in 2.2 will bring gathering and crafting classes profit again.

    Got any better idea? Discuss

shards, crystals, clusters they can sell pretty well if you want to use all your time to gather. leves can also give you some gil probably not that much but if you did the highest leve 500+ gil per run and you get 6 leves a day.

6? Why not save up your leves and do like 100 at once or something.

Also possible but it pretty much boils down to the same in the end.
With one you blow through a lot of allowance for a stash of gil at once, which is handy if you need a certain sum for something.
With the other you get a steady daily income to cover for your teleporting and repair costs, but regardless of doing 6 a day for 3 weeks or saving allowance for 3 weeks and blowing through them in one day, the total amount of acquired gil remains the same.

The profist from a dungeon won't be destroyed by repair costs, it'll take 3/4 full runs before you are even in need of repairs unless you happen to wipe a lot.

That said, Duty roulette will up the amount of gil you get from a dungeon and you'll get even more if you queue up as tank.

Apart from that, beastmen dailies will also net you a little gil per completed quest and those don't take too long to do either.

There's 4 ways to make decent to big amounts of gil in this game.

    1. Put vendor crafting materials on the action house for gil. Highest profit margin, but requires a lot of micro management.
    2. Crafting leve turn in items (HQ) and selling them to crafters who are leveling.
    3. Crafting leve turn in items for yourself (HQ) and turning them in for gil profit (usually requires you to be able to gather most of the mats).
    4. Level Goldsmith and Miner, and make ilvl48-49 electrum accessories for free. Then run dungeons and such with them, spirit binding into materia to sell. This is what I do, and I do ok on Balmung.

Add popular items on the Market Board to your wishlist (such as Vanya- or various housing craft items and minions) and wait for somebody to muck up the sell price (like forgetting a 0 or trying to undercut other sellers by a ridiculously broad margin), then buy it and sell for a profit!

Of course though this occurs very rarely.

Farming shards and crystals in demand can earn you a quite a fortune if you can dedicate a (massive) portion of your time online to gathering them on a daily basis. Be sure to check the Market Board daily, given the prices tend to fluctuate every couple of days.

I just watch certain things. For one you gotta have some Gil or start small, then you set a bottom and top line on ten or so stackable items, a line you buy and sell at. If you watch a day or two and use the history you get a pretty good idea where those lines should be, sometimes it's much longer timeline than that and those are your moneymakers. I only let that out though because I own portions of my market, I'll drop price to bait an undercut then buy you out and relocate your Gil into my bank. I make 20 grand in around 20 minutes if I use my retainers, it's not instant but it works

Making steady amounts of gil is easy...

    - Treasure maps
    - Dungeon runs
    - Leve turn-in's
    - Buying up market board items that are selling for less than the NPC sell price

Making millions of gil is harder, you need to pretty religiously follow the market boards and devote quite a bit of time to running around gathering materials.

Then again, unless you're looking to finance your FC's medium or large house all by yourself... there's no real need to try to make millions of gil. It's overkill really.

Trends are all over the place right now. The market for HQ darksteel nuggest on Sarg has spiked to highly profitable levels, for example, and likely the ore has become incredibly valuable as well. I would suspect that something similar is happening on the clothcrafting end.

Flax and Cotton are pretty hot sellers, even with NQ, for lower level botanists.

Soulbinding is a long gamble for some good money. Soulbinding high level crafting and gathering materia is a huge trend, and will be for the foreseeable future with the new redicuf**ktastical requirements for three star products and the lack of a new gear tier (everyone's stuck pretty much at i55)

Attitude is half the game. If you can't get over yourself, you're not at the top.

Right now on Gilgamesh gathering materia level 1 is selling for 10k each. Before the patch it was like 500gil each. Going to spirit bond a lot low level gear today.but
