I cant wait for the day monk GCD reaches sub 1.0 then ask me if the class is rewarding enough.

overshadowed? lets see DRG have 10% flat damage boost from Heavy Thrust and 10% non DoT damage boost from Disembowel while Monk have 10% non DoT damage boost from Dragon Kick and a freaking 27% flat damage boost and also 27% flat ASPD bonus from GL3 which means a bloody freakin 54% damage boost?Considering the amount of factors that you need to be aware of when playing the job, it doesnt feel like the game is rewarding the job/players as its suppose to be
Not to mention the job is overshadowed by other DPS jobs even DRGs are getting the spotlight in the end-game content due to it being a more ideal pick than monks..

To balance out these buffs, MNK hits very weak when not buffed, whereas a DRG has rather strong base potencies for its attacks.overshadowed? lets see DRG have 10% flat damage boost from Heavy Thrust and 10% non DoT damage boost from Disembowel while Monk have 10% non DoT damage boost from Dragon Kick and a freaking 27% flat damage boost and also 27% flat ASPD bonus from GL3 which means a bloody freakin 54% damage boost?
It's always a pleasure to see people post without knowing what they're talking about.
Then kindly explain why most end-game groups tend to go for DRGs over a MNK? and its not just DRGs, I was talking about all DPS class in generalovershadowed? lets see DRG have 10% flat damage boost from Heavy Thrust and 10% non DoT damage boost from Disembowel while Monk have 10% non DoT damage boost from Dragon Kick and a freaking 27% flat damage boost and also 27% flat ASPD bonus from GL3 which means a bloody freakin 54% damage boost?
By the way, You can claim something like that but it still doesnt explain why majority of the community go for a DRG than a MNK
Probably because anyone who has control of the muscles in their neck can flop their head on a keyboard, and still manage to get a fairly decent return from DRG. Most people are pretty terrible players (though they certainly don't think so!), so it makes sense that there will be a trend toward whatever class is less difficult to $@!% up playing.

Heavy Thrust is +15% dmg. GL3 speed buff is +15%. You also forgot that MNKs have Twin snakes for another +10% dmg. But you have to look at the whole picture for the damage, not just their buffs. Such as Disembowel also boosting BRD damage like it's been talked in this thread.
Why drg has Jump but mnk doesn't have Boost in this game? I thought that's a signature skill that they should have in every FF series.
There was a time that was true, a couple of hotfixes ago when SE finally admitted the drop rates for Monk and Dragoon we're slightly lopsided in Coil. It didn't help that Monk and Dragoon could use the same jewelry either, and that our Summoners our's BLM, and healers had to fight for the same stuff xD
