[HELP!!!] I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!

As someone who has played a huge variety of MMOs over the past 15 years, I will give you an honest answer.

Don't force yourself to keep playing a game. Don't search for an excuse to continue like you are doing here. You need to be able to ask yourself "Have I done enough here?" and "Am I ready to take a break from this game?"

This is a very nice game as far as MMOs go, and I would hope you enjoyed your time here. But don't be mad at the game if YOU have managed to burn up all / most of the activities avialable.

Also, if you are familiar enough with WOW that you can make the claim that "WOW does this better" or "WOW has more of X", then WOW is probably not the game you want to go play right now. Because you have already been there and done that.

If you are looking for something fresh and new to spend your time with, maybe look into one of those other MMOs coming out soon like Eldar Scrolls or Wildstar.

Great to see the community responding in such a friendly manner. How bout the trolls stop the BS and dont post just cause you feel your opinion of "no one cares" should be heard. tbh your posts are more annoying than the OPs thread.

I agree, ppl get mad love during those dungeon runs. It is like I am watching an episode of Barney and Friends, so much love^^

yeah i am kinda done with WoW, i only log into battle.net games like Diablo 3 to chat with my WoW friends, here its the same. i did not rush through this game you just cant help but log in try to do something and end up farther than you had planned... you tend to trip and fall into exp or progress in FFXIV...

i started to play Diablo 3 again, have not touched it since the first week it launched... its free and still lets me chat my old friends up in other games... i might give WoW my sub money this month so i can clear out all my bags of Mist of Panderia items.. save some gold for Warlords launch...

well honestly this thread is pretty trolly not only has op already decided what they like and disliked about the game nearly 90% of the game is disliked if they already went through the trouble of getting all this information and putting all this thought into it, why ask us? i personally say don't unsub why? because everything they said they disliked i love i find all the primals fun (titan ex alittle less but anyways! XD) i find the hard modes fun i find the chocobo companion cool idc what other games have. the only people who complain about the economy are the players who can't work the market board my brother and his friend makes plenty of money on it, where is this dead economy everyone is talking about? there is always items being sold constantly on the mb yes there is a large chunk of worthless items but there is still alot of good items too.

it is not that i dislike 90% of the game its that... the only content i have left is BCoB turn 5, my choco is only rank 7, beastmen dailies, leve's when all my jobs are 50... ive managed to do all of this over time while helping others that needed it or while just waiting around during the week while my FC only logs in on Mondays.
As far as the market board goes i have A LOT of gil, more than i will ever ever need for this game... because there is nothing to spend it all on. how many times can you do the same thing without feeling a little "this is done to death.. uninteresting.. moving on"?

If you find the game uninteresting, unsub (unless you've made a bunch of friends you don't want to leave). I felt the same way you do about WoW (uninteresting), yet millions of others have a very different opinion than me. The bottom line is simple: if a game is not entertaining you, it isn't worth your money. Hopefully you give the game another go when the first expansion comes out.

All I ask is that you don't be like others (not all) who are unsubbing and troll dungeons (especially CT).

so.... what happens when enough do that it starts affecting the bottom line for development costs to the point content is either rushed or delayed like FFXI (who after 2+ years are still waiting for them to add the summons they promised back during the WoTG expansion)

i really hope this game does not shut off, but at the same time how do i justify paying for a "10hrs total per month, Playable only on Mondays, $15/mo" game?

what happens when not enough leave and people realize the game is fine on the track it is?

in the end its just theories noone truely knows if a game will be successful or not. you can say it doesnt have this or this and that is why it won't work but that doesn't mean its true. same with the other view too just because it is the way it is doesn't mean it will work.
they hate everything about the game what will they return for?

i would say they were very successful in grabbing our attention! just very unsuccessful in keeping mine?

like any mmo, you eventually get through all the content, and have nothing left except socialising and repeating content. Or await new content. You seem like someone who knows full well what the game has to offer, so why ask? Unless you are trying to say the game doesn't have much to offer, which could have been achieved in one sentence.

new patch doesn't look very interesting to me. if i unsub i dont think ill be back this year. i talked to my friends today and they said basically the same thing, we might all be leaving until there is enough to do that interests us.

well i can tell you i do feel the same in a sense. i have been playing since phase 2 when the game entered early release i hit 15 on all my classes (not 20 because i was lazy XD) then during the first whole month i was pretty much lvl 30 for awhile dungeons weren't good exp but the person i play with is all about being over prepared and wanted the whole gear set from brayflox we did it ALOT did it get boring? well not to me content gets boring to me when you get to the point where players start actually affecting if you win or lose, i love all the end game battles and would spam them over and over but pugs ruin alot of things and not even because they can't do it it's because they can't do then point fingers the only thing i truely hate about this game is it's community, the community is horrible be it in duty finder or out noone wants to play together and noone wants to help each other. heck fc's don't feel like guilds they feel like cliques and once someone joins one they want nothing to do with outside of their fc.

Apparently it's a crazy idea to stop playing a game once you stop enjoying it, but that's my advice. Even if you're a long time fan of Square, you don't owe it to them to pay them money each month in the hopes that the game will get better. There are so many other games out there; why limit yourself to one that you pay for that you don't enjoy.

FFXI- Abysea... FFXIII... FFXIII-2... FFXIV 1.0... and now this...

i dont consider myself a Square-fan anymore. and i know ill be hard pressed to make another game purchase from them.

Personally, I am waiting for the new expansion. Why? XIV is snoring boring to me (Got bored again before sub ended), hopefully they add some interesting features/jobs by then. I may be back to try out the next patch; however, as others have stated, there is nothing wrong with playing an more enjoyable game. Do not force yourself to play a video game, it is meant to be an and entertaining way to relax. Just un-sub, no harm, no foul in that.

Honestly, the new expansion may release familiar jobs, however, they may not function or look the way ppl thought they would. That is just my humble opinion, but I understand where you are coming from.
