so.... what happens when enough do that it starts affecting the bottom line for development costs to the point content is either rushed or delayed like FFXI (who after 2+ years are still waiting for them to add the summons they promised back during the WoTG expansion)

what happens when not enough leave and people realize the game is fine on the track it is?

in the end its just theories noone truely knows if a game will be successful or not. you can say it doesnt have this or this and that is why it won't work but that doesn't mean its true. same with the other view too just because it is the way it is doesn't mean it will work.

Yeah, you all have a pretty mean answers. I don't have any either but, good job for making sure someone who is kinda on the fence definitely not return.

Ok, enjoy playing your F2P game in the disguise of a monthly sub model because apparently now a days people are willing to pay a monthly sub AND spend money on micro transactions.

Outside of the minions and mounts (and not many at that) I dont see anything in the way of micro transactions I cant buy gear (not even for vanity) bag slots raid resets or anything of the like but hey I guess thats my opinion. I am enjoying the game rather well thank you ^-^ been playing it for a couple weeks and its refreshing (especially not having seen 1 RMT tell in the entire 2 weeks I have played). As for ARR I dont hate the game I am just bored of it. It did good with getting me interested but sadly for me it failed to hold it. I am not saying its a bad game its just not something I can justify trying to convince someone to play. =P

You can indeed buy an item to skip everything not related to the latest expansion but if you had read the interview regarding it you would know that they chose a price point for it to discourage someone going ok just skip all this and devalue it... as for the helms I didnt know but upon looking into it I guess they are but even then I am not exactly zomg must have ugly heads. It doesnt affect my gameplay and honestly if it takes off, seeing as this game is copying the success from other games, do you think it will be long before this game follows suit ? isnt that kind of the thing with vanity slots ? its successful how can we make money off it ? I am not exactly sure what your issue is with WoW or why saying go back to WoW is an insult its not like its a bad game, its good enough for this game and hundreds more to use it as their template.

As for race change faction change world transfer this game already offers them so I guess you can enjoy playing your already F2P game in disguise (please see the extremly long thread about buying fantasia)

Because WOW was one of the first to do these micro transactions in a sub model. The name change and such I hate as I stated but it is in every mmo now so nothing I can do. Like I said when they follow suit with instant buy a high lvl char I will quit. Thats my problem with WOW on top of the lore breaking every chance they get(I was big into the wow lore) buy a high lvl char. I dont wanna go more into it so we both dont offend someone and they report and we get a ban, and this forum has no pm feature for some reason so I will agree to disagree.
