[HELP!!!] I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!

HELP! I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS!!!

my main account's subscription ran out! And this account runs out soon!!!

I was going to ask this the other day but I actually had to wait till level 25 before I could use the forums on this account ><.
( this account is for storing all the crafting materials I had collected while leveling my mains DoH/DoL jobs!)

things I can do in game

    UNAVALIABLE :

QUESTS - None available... see next item
JOBS – None available to level... all DOW / DOM / DOH / DOL are Level 50 ( I so hated fisherman )
LEVE's – Done to death, uninteresting...
TREASURE MAPS – Done to death, uninteresting...
CRAFTING – None Avaliable to level... Done to death, uninteresting... Fruitless economy
DUNGEONS – Done to death, uninteresting... All jobs Darklight++ geared with relic+1's
PRIMALS – Killing Ifrit / Titan / Garuda feels like Dance dance revolution... Done to death, uninteresting...
PRIMALS (EX) – Killing Ifrit / Titan / Garuda feels like Dance Dance revolution... Done to death, uninteresting...
ULTIMA – Done to death, uninteresting...
BCoB Turn 1-4 – Done to death, uninteresting...

    AVALIABLE :

BEASTMEN DAILYS – World of Warcraft has more quality / quantity and I left them for you... Done to death, uninteresting...
CHOCO COMPANION – Interferes with Duty Finder... Long pointless grind... Maplestory has better companions and is Free to Play...
BCoB turn 5 – ONCE per week ( 8rs Monthly on bad days)...

    AVALIABLE IN 2.2 :

PLAYER HOUSING – I have more than enough Gil from Spiritbonding in Crystal Tower... the longer I wait the less it costs...
MIRAGE PRISM – Cool... Awesome... but worth a monthly subscription?
PRIMALS – Leviathan... Killing Ifrit / Titan / Garuda feels like Dance Dance Revolution... one more will not change how I feel about primals.
DUNGEONS – Rewarding new tomes that will be easier to obtain if I wait for patch 2.3+
CRYSTAL TOWER – Another 1 loot per week? … that justifies a monthly subscription...
BCoB1-5[DF] – Done to death, uninteresting...
BCoB 6-9 – ONCE per week ( 8rs Monthly on bad days)...
BEASTMEN DAILYS – World of Warcraft has more quality / quantity and I left them for you... Done to death, uninteresting...
New Hildibrand storyline – 3+ Hours of Content... Non repeatable...
New Allagan Tomestone type – easier to Obtain if I wait until 2.3+
New advanced crafting recipes – For a Fruitless Economy...
New fishing challenges – I mentioned I hated fishing and that it was level 50 right?
New Aesthetician hairstyles – Cool... Awesome... but worth a monthly subscription?

should I renew my sub or wait until the first expansion or new Job that does not auto level to 50 because its tied to one of the already existing base classes like my SCH did when I capped ACN on SMN?

    If so... Why?
    If no... Why?

Don't force yourself to keep playing a game. Don't search for an excuse to continue like you are doing here. You need to be able to ask yourself "Have I done enough here?" and "Am I ready to take a break from this game?"

This is a very nice game as far as MMOs go, and I would hope you enjoyed your time here. But don't be mad at the game if YOU have managed to burn up all / most of the activities avialable.

Also, if you are familiar enough with WOW that you can make the claim that "WOW does this better" or "WOW has more of X", then WOW is probably not the game you want to go play right now. Because you have already been there and done that.

If you are looking for something fresh and new to spend your time with, maybe look into one of those other MMOs coming out soon like Eldar Scrolls or Wildstar.
yeah i am kinda done with WoW, i only log into battle.net games like Diablo 3 to chat with my WoW friends, here its the same. i did not rush through this game you just cant help but log in try to do something and end up farther than you had planned... you tend to trip and fall into exp or progress in FFXIV...

i started to play Diablo 3 again, have not touched it since the first week it launched... its free and still lets me chat my old friends up in other games... i might give WoW my sub money this month so i can clear out all my bags of Mist of Panderia items.. save some gold for Warlords launch...

XD) i find the hard modes fun i find the chocobo companion cool idc what other games have. the only people who complain about the economy are the players who can't work the market board my brother and his friend makes plenty of money on it, where is this dead economy everyone is talking about? there is always items being sold constantly on the mb yes there is a large chunk of worthless items but there is still alot of good items too.
it is not that i dislike 90% of the game its that... the only content i have left is BCoB turn 5, my choco is only rank 7, beastmen dailies, leve's when all my jobs are 50... ive managed to do all of this over time while helping others that needed it or while just waiting around during the week while my FC only logs in on Mondays.
As far as the market board goes i have A LOT of gil, more than i will ever ever need for this game... because there is nothing to spend it all on. how many times can you do the same thing without feeling a little "this is done to death.. uninteresting.. moving on"?

The bottom line is simple: if a game is not entertaining you, it isn't worth your money. Hopefully you give the game another go when the first expansion comes out.

All I ask is that you don't be like others (not all) who are unsubbing and troll dungeons (especially CT).
i get you. it does feel like the friends i have made here are the only reason i log in anymore.

i really hope this game does not shut off, but at the same time how do i justify paying for a "10hrs total per month, Playable only on Mondays, $15/mo" game?

in the end its just theories noone truely knows if a game will be successful or not. you can say it doesnt have this or this and that is why it won't work but that doesn't mean its true. same with the other view too just because it is the way it is doesn't mean it will work.
they hate everything about the game what will they return for?
i would say they were very successful in grabbing our attention! just very unsuccessful in keeping mine?
i dont hate the game i just dont have anything to do in it but chat up friends on Teamspeak...

Unsubscribe until new patch? idk lol
new patch doesn't look very interesting to me. if i unsub i dont think ill be back this year. i talked to my friends today and they said basically the same thing, we might all be leaving until there is enough to do that interests us.

that is my understanding... and if it isnt... then i guess i really have no reason for why we have "Gil"

the thing is i loved FFXI and WoW, payed for both for almost a decade. untill Post WOTLK drove away my family and Abysea killed my interest in FFXI...

in FFXI i joined just as CoP launched... i had all the content from the vanilla release> RotZilart > CoP to do and i finaly completedit jsut as ToAH came out.
ToAH lasted me untill about 5 weeks before WotGodess launched and when it did OMFG i had content up the WAzzoo to do... and hte thing is most of it was never invalidated by new content..
i was still doing CoP missions for friends and new LS members..
i was still doing SEA / Sky / Dynamis / Enh / ect ect ect with new friends and LS members...

the point is... for me there was VERY few times i ran out of Content for what ever expansion before the next expansion came out... and was fun and worth while to revisit the older content with fresh people.

In FFXIV... it feels like im given a week or two worth of content hiding behind Time locks to be dished out every 3-4 months...

would you pay $20 at the store AND THEN $15 a month to play FF7 if you had to wait a month between discs?

    - Aug 8, 2002: Rank 5 Missions (including the Shadow Lord fight) were implemented, but with the level cap at 50, no one had beaten it.

    - Sep 12, 2002: The level cap is raised to 55. High Level Notorious Monsters, such as Behemoth, are added to their respective areas.

    - Nov 7, 2002: PC ver. released.

    - Nov 26, 2002: Level cap raised to 60.

    - Apr 15, 2003: Rise of Zilart preparation update. The level cap now became 65.

    - Apr 17, 2003: Rise of the Zilart goes on sale.

    - May 16, 2003: Final Fantasy XI Completes 1 Year of Service

And sky didn't even come with RoZ, it came out two months later. So basically, not one thing you loved about FFXI was in the game in its first year. That game was bare bones in its infancy. I would argue that we have far more content than FFXI did after 7 months. I started XI shortly after CoP was released, so like you I had a ton to do, and content lasted until the next expansion. But ARR hasn't had a single expansion yet.
so i should leave and never come back then is what yoru saying? because what it sounds like is that...

FXIV will only have a small amount of "Relevant" material at "Level Cap"... where FFXI's horizontal progression added tons of "Relevant" content..
FFXIV is designed to Replace chunks of content, invalidating what came before...
FFXI took 2+ years for it to reach the point where i joined...
FFXIV should not be played until 2016?

It doesnt affect my gameplay and honestly if it takes off, seeing as this game is copying the success from other games, do you think it will be long before this game follows suit ? isnt that kind of the thing with vanity slots ? its successful how can we make money off it ? I am not exactly sure what your issue is with WoW or why saying go back to WoW is an insult its not like its a bad game, its good enough for this game and hundreds more to use it as their template.

As for race change faction change world transfer this game already offers them so I guess you can enjoy playing your already F2P game in disguise (please see the extremly long thread about buying fantasia)
i think the price point is very fair... either pay 60 dollars to skip all the content you have done already on every alt.. or pay 15 dollars and spend a week or two leveling the new alt to 90 possibly finding out you dont really care for the character...

Thats my problem with WOW on top of the lore breaking every chance they get(I was big into the wow lore) buy a high lvl char. I dont wanna go more into it so we both dont offend someone and they report and we get a ban, and this forum has no pm feature for some reason so I will agree to disagree.
I identify with my characters in every MMO i play/played because i love thier names ( when SWTOR force merged worlds and i had to rename ALL of my characters they lost my buisness forever, have not been back even to try F2P mode)

so before WoW offered "race" and "Name" change services i literally Deleted characters to reroll them different races.. their service was a much needed breath of fresh air for people like me that enjoy RP in an RPG...

as for the "Instant 90" i think its fekin Awesome... because now i can jump in on Old characters on Old dead servers ( tied to other servers because thier lack of recruits for guilds and a viable Auction house is why the servers died... and are now tied together with Xrealm Guilds and AH's) and skip the OLD AS DIRT content that is completely invalidated and chewed through over and over by myself... so i can jump right in and play on that server like i had never left!! Long Live Bruticus, the Destroyer! (of little gnomish toes!)
and his queen Ravage, the All Tauren Steak Chef Extraordinaire! HELLLLLLLOOOOOOOOO WoD

lvl sync is something i think would be great to be able to do with a party alot of players i know would love that option.

the biggest issue see is players want the game to give them a reason to play, basically the biggest loot its why we have what everyone call the monday player because all they want is loot and nothing else.

from what i heard from alot of peoples arguments is wasting time is better then letting you get to see the content.

i have seen people say that when 11 dropped (jp only because na was 1 year after it came out) there was no content but the reason the content was good was because it wasted so much of your time you never got to see the tiny bit of end game so it didn't matter.
id rather run around working toward a goal stretched over several hours than poping into a dungeon for loot lottery. id like to look back and say " what a long, strange trip its been" after completing my goal... and then finding a new goal the next day... nothing in FFXIV comes anywhere close to that.

( dont you dare say "make an alt to get around the content lockouts! if i wanted to level a buJillion alts there are other games available that do it better. all of which let me send mail between alts among other things!...)

Ok, enjoy playing your F2P game in the disguise of a monthly sub model because apparently now a days people are willing to pay a monthly sub AND spend money on micro transactions.

You can buy level 90 characters. Maybe it didnt go live yet but it is coming. yes you can buy gear for vanity(helms for now but be honest more is coming). Raid resets I have a bad feeling it is coming. Bag slots well why when you can easily buy it. RMT...yeah it must be nice. I do get annoyed.

For the record to race change, name change, faction change, stuff like that is def micro transactions and started in f2p games. I hate that it is there but every mmo is following it now so no stooping the train. now the min every MMO follows the buy an instant high level character is the day I quit.

Seems to me like you just wanted to rush thru all the content instead of enjoying the actual game. If you have already done everything this game has to offer unsub till patch comes. sub back up for a month and see how you feel about the new stuff. If it still doesnt tickle your fancy, then sad to say but finding another game to play while you wait for another patch or more would be your best route.

Myself personally, i have most classes at 50. I find that helping others get their classes up keeps me coming back. i like to lead people and get them to become better. That alone right there takes lots of time and commitment. Maybe you need to focus more on the socializing aspect of the game instead of just solely endgame content. thats the best advice i can give.
