Housing Item Caps - Feedback Yet?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe there has actually been any official response from the community reps yet on these concerns with the housing item caps.

I understand these sorts of changes aren't always as straight forward or as simple as the player community would prefer to believe, but I think this is one where we have just way too much invested into this content for the Dev team to take a passive approach to a fix. Large houses are an enormous time sink and it's very discouraging having the content feel as "unfinished" as it does right now with the current item limitations. We've been pretty patient while this concern is continuing to become increasingly pervasive. I think we're due for some feedback, if for any other reason than to help hold us over if an update isn't already planned for this in 2.2.

So reps - what, if any, is the concern with updating the item cap? Is there an update planned for 2.2? Where does Development currently stand with this?

Finally getting an answer to this would be fantastic. Camate has been visiting the housing suggestion thread frequently and answering a select few questions, yet skirting round the most widely asked one... If it can't/won't be done in 2.2 that's fine (kind of) but at least tell us that instead of us just wasting our time asking for it.

I heard this in the transcripts as well and I'm a very sad panda. I truly hope they reconsider for at least the large houses. There's not many of the actual structures but they effect several players whom reside within them. Even if it was as small an increase as 20, it would at least allow us to acquire the new furnishings in this patch. I really hope they are able to come up with a compromise with the server structure soon.

And yet they are giving 50 more slots to all of the small houses as well as adding that basement, effectively doubling small houses item slot capacity when small houses are already cluttered with a lot of crap.

They said it takes up too much server space to increase the item cap for housing (yet they upped small housing's) and that giving FC housing will do nothing but delay personal housing. FC housing is merely the beta for the real housing system in personal housing. It's basically them giving us an ultimatum type excuse, we can make X better, but if we do you don't get Y. This is really a money issue, SE needs more servers to handle all of this, but they are obviously too broke to pay for it, why else would a successful MMO that needs more hardware to handle the server loads and get out content that was promised years ago not pay for that hardware. I'm actually worried for the executives at SE, living paycheck to paycheck, their children on the brink of starvation, we should stop being greedy as a player base, and stop worrying about how soon we can get anything when they are obviously so bad off. Everyone be sure to buy those extra retainers, maybe we should see about sending Sally Struthers over there, or lend them Sarah McLachlan so they can make a decent commercial to save the execs and dev team over there, everyone pray for their health and safety please.

They added some space but the item cap is still extremely disproportionately generous compared to a large house. It's half the amount of items a mansion can have for a space only a quarter of one floor worth of a mansion. It's nice and all that the small house owners received an upgrade for both floors and items but I wish they had allowed mansion owners an item cap increase as well. If they're complaining about server strain, giving 50 x 20ish small houses per zone is far more strain than 50 x 3 large houses per zone I would imagine.
