OP, for what its worth, some of your ideas were pretty good. Some of your posts came across as insulting I guess, but I wasn't personally insulted, however some may have been. Anyways, I read what you wrote about combat, classes, and crafting. These were all good points and good ideas to fix them up a bit. Combat does need to be a bit randomized. Not every fight, but it'd be fun every once in a while, and highly frustrating. The elemental idea was great too, incorporating the use of elemental materias which currently serve no purpose.
Classes, this was good too. Classes need to be viable in my opinion. There needs to be more customization in the game. Different builds for different players, so that not every ilvl 90 bard, monk, paladin etc is the same. Everyone can bring differences to the fight and the group, or switch up based on what the fight demands of you.
Crafting. This could be tough to really decide on. I mean, I honestly think the hardest content should reward the best gear. You beat Turn 9, you deserve the best gear no doubt. Coil should give the best gear. However, tomes that we farm every week, should not. Anyone can get these simply by farming mindlessly. Maybe make the myth or future tome items give out a bit lower ilvl than coil gear or advanced crafted gear. Crafted gear needs to give better gear than tomes to make it viable to craft in the first place. This would cause a boom in the materia market as well, and people would want to spirit bond again. This worked for a bit when people used vanya and gryphonskin, but since people have gone through enough coil and gotten enough myth, its obsolete. Crafted gear needs to be very good gear, not quite as good as coil gear, but close to it, and definitely better than weekly tome gear. The catch is, the items required for this high level crafted gear needs to be quite rare, in order to balance it out. We don't want people to ignore the tomes either and just do nothing but craft, although that would be better than just farming and crafting being ignored.
I see your points. I love this game too, but I feel like a lot of features of the game are not being utilized enough.
