Been having 90k errors all day since yesterday. I tried using that ping test and typically my results are fine until the request times out multiple times when i begin to D/C.

Hello. Please reframe of using language such as those words please might end up with something more then just Lag!.
Who are you, the word police?
You are far more offensive than anything anyone else has done.

LOL Kiyyto I am glad you understood to reply to that because I couldn't even understand what Dark said to even be a sentence. must have been Google translate at it's worst or something
AniKai - what i am seeing on your pings is weird. You do have a packet loss on the game server, but your ping times to Google are almost double. On that far right number, the lower the better. 42,785 ms to FFXIV vs. 73,105 ms to Google - huge difference. And really to any server in the world your highest ping times even with lag should be down in the lower hundreds. I just pinged Google and my time is 34 ms. FFXIV gave me an average of 168 ms. If pinging Google is yielding a crazy ping time like 73,000 +, there are some serious ISp issues going on there and your ISP telling you that nothing is wrong is pure BS - they need to fix the internet service you are paying for.
//EDIT// - To correct spelling and grammar because, well, my typing sucks.

The 42k and 73k time figures are the total time for all the pings to complete (25 pings took just under 43 seconds (42785ms), and then 74 pings took just over 73 seconds (73105ms) to complete).
What should raise concern is the high jitter and packet loss. While the response times were tighter on the pings to SE, they had high packet loss. Even though the google pings showed no packet loss, there is too wide a variance in the response times (16ms to 26ms - a bit too much jitter).
But yeah.. there is definitely something going on along the routes that warrants a closer look.

Okay I can understand that. Mine saying "average time" I think threw me off because i missed in his post something saying "average"

I posted the following in another topic, though might as well add it here as I can see this is an ongoing issue:
I'd like to add my voice to this group. I've only been experiencing these spikes in the last day, however.
Detailed explanation:
The lag appears to be clearly connection related, rather than a matter of internet or simple speed. The actions and spells happening in game will simply stop and then a second or two later "catch up" at a rapid pace. At this exact moment, my "received" column in the connection mouse-over will drop to 0, and then rush up to several thousand as the dungeon catches up with itself. This will happen through the instance at anything from 10 second intervals to up to 2 minutes, but it is consistent. This morning, I experienced it doing Ifrit as part of my duty daily. I reset my internet, assuming it was on my end. Everything outside of the dungeon was fine before entering the duty, and also after, though I chose to reset all the same. Everything I did from that point outside of the duty finder was also fine, including a single PvP daily I did through the duty finder. As soon as I went to do today's daily however (the dailies reset afternoon EU, keep in mind) the spikes were back and made the dungeon fairly difficult. As soon as I left the dungeon, everything was back to normal and lag free.
I am playing on Gilgamesh, but am connecting from the EU. I would very much like to try some level 50 dungeons, though simply cannot afford to have the game stop processing for a second or two in any of them. Hopefully this information will help you address the problem.

I'm having pretty much the same issue as the others reported here. It all seemed to start at some point yesterday when the game would freeze for between 5-10 seconds every minute and then rapidly catch up. Made playing WOD pretty unplayable.
I tried again this morning and it was still pretty bad and I noticed a lot of players disconnecting or just dying instantly as a result. Seems like some emergency maintenance is in order on Odin Server (connecting from UK BTW).
Fancy Man of Gridania
I think SE really need to do some maintenace, since last update the lag spikes are getting to the stage of making the game unplayable. Fates farming usually ends up with a freeze in the play followed by health bar decimation, and dungeons are frankly ridiculous to suffer. Its not my internet, these issues appeared for me after last update and have steadily worsened.
