This. Right. Here. (Minus the "not")

Newer players should have to put in the same time to get to said content. People should follow the dungeon tiers.

This goes back to my point about Buying a game, popping it in and having the option to jump to the End Boss. It doesn't work that way.

Just because you paid for the game doesn't grant you access to the whole game without playing through it.

That's not quite the main point I was making. And new players already do have to put in the time/effort to get to such content. No way around it. But setting the bar too high - as stated before - creates a player gap that's unhealthy for the player base and the game's lifespan. Imagine that when 2.2 hit, all the new content required an absolute i95 minimum requirement, and you JUST managed to finally hit a rough i80. In order to even get to the new stuff, you HAD to finish Coil 1-5, AND the EX primals, including Leviathan - oh by the way he's an i90 minimum (not really, this is for the sake of this point), oh AND let's throw in the next part of CT, which will also require a few FATEs to unlock. . .

Kinda sucks for you, huh? Now what about that guy who is JUST beginning to get i55 gear? Where's the fun in patch 2.2 for him? It's not about setting or keeping the bar low, but about finding that balance between the "high level" experience and what can reasonably be experienced and enjoyed by all players.

At no point did I say put the Min Req @ 95 or anywhere near that. I suggested iLv70. Which would require Darklight Gear. Which is progression from AF >> AK/WP >> HM / Pharos >> DL(full Set) >> HM Primal >> New HM Dungeons >> CT(idk where to put this tbh) >> Coil + XM Primals. All while collecting Philos/Mythos to purchase iLv 70/90 gear.

Wait, are you trying to imply that you need a full DL set before doing HM Primals?

It makes Titan alot easier, but no, you can do Ifrit / Garcia Naked.

The fun for the guy just gearing up in ilvl 55 gear is already there in 2.0 and 2.1! SE shouldn't worry about releasing new dungeons specifically for people who haven't completed the current dungeons yet. I'm working on the assumption that a lot of people want more challenging content. Personally I'd like to have a couple of noticeably harder dungeons with noticeably better rewards. It seems silly to me to release 3 dungeons with identical requirements (and presumably rewards) simultaneously. Stagger them a little bit. I think people would have been perfectly happy with 55, 60, 65 as long as the difficulty / rewards made sense. As it is now we are getting new Coil for ilvl90+ and new dungeons...for ilvl 55. Leaves an awfully wide gap.

I meant to address this sooner, but internet problems + laziness. Anyways, you have a good point, and your assumption holds some weight, but to quote myself from a different topic,
"Every addition/patch to the game is not meant to be solely for endgame content. As I always say, a balance must be maintained between providing endgame content for those at that point, and something to help others who aren't there get there. Otherwise, all that new stuff just becomes something for non-high level players to look at and say "wow, a bunch of stuff I'll never get to do because I'm stuck at x" or "don't have the time/experience/gear to get to".
This is something I've seen first hand, and not just with this game. No one want to feel like a hamster in a wheel, despite the fact that MMOs by nature require a time dedication and repetition. But imagine back before 2.1 not even being able to get ANY tomes or at least an i70 accessory UNTIL you beat all 3 HM primals? How much of a gateway would that be for casual/hardcore players?
