PS3 to PS4 Help

I played the beta on the PS3 and fell in love with the game so my thought is that I want to go out and buy the PS3 version and play it now and then upgrade it to the free PS4 version. My question is if I choose a server on the PS3 and then upgrade to the PS4 will I have to stay on the same server for the PS4 or will it give me an option to change servers again? The reason I ask is because a few people on the PS forums will all be joining the same guild or server (sorry im new to this) and I want to make sure we can play together but they havent decided what one they will choose yet.

I would think they wouldn't give a free transfer, due to the lack of a need for it.

Your character will be on the same server regardless of platform. It's possible to transfer a character from one server to another, but it costs money ($18) to do so. When that character transfer service first started, SE did offer an initial period when it was free, so I suppose it's possible they could do so again, but it seems unlikely. (That free transfer period was because some server issues during the initial launch made it especially difficult to create characters on some servers, so a lot of players ended up creating characters on a server other than the one they wanted to.)

Your best bet is to try to talk your friends from the PS4 forums into making up their minds and choosing an existing server so you know which one to create your character on. Or perhaps you could pick a server yourself and talk them into joining you there.

Ahh ok I see. Is there any popular EU Playstation worlds? or ones where it is easy to get to know people to do dungeons and all that good stuff?
