Tanking Crowning Moments of Awesome

We've got the "Herp Derp" thread going, so what about a "brag" thread where we relate the times everything went as absolutely perfect as it could have gone, that shining moment in time where you could do no wrong?

The time I locked down AK's first boss completely, stepped through all thunders stunned all cankers and silenced all mind melts. I also managed to tank all golems, felt good man.

CT King Behemoth - Alliance B MT or Healer derped and MT died. ST didn't last. KB starts rampaging down the food chain.
Whole alliance panics as others tanks are slow to react.

I see my buddy MT, provoke KB away from before he gorges on his buffet any further while already being occupied with the giant.
His health drops, pops Hallowed Ground and passes KB to me as I provoke it away so he can recover.

But I'm on off-tank DPS setup so I can't last long and our main healer is dead with a scholar trying to keep up.
I take a big hit and pop Holmgang. Buddy MT gets provoke off again and grabs KB's attention off me just long enough so I can get healed up <3
I butcher's block KB back to me and we tanked it, side by side, in what was becoming the most fubar-ed KB run but epic in recovery, barely long enough to see 2nd healer raised.

In the end we finally succumb and hit the ground dead with everything spent, just in time to see both Giant and KB die at the same time.

HM ifrit.

Team was dpsing the nails, but our BLM didnt use his Limit Break, nor did we have 3 bars, only 2. 1 nail under 50%, Wipe was imminent

MIRACULOUSLY, Hellfire was mitigated somehow, and only I and a scholar survived. Idk how but I had 3k out of 5k left, and the scholar was hanging by a thread. so for 3 minutes, I solo tanked ifrit and the SCH kept me healed while I built up the LB.

Then came the grand moment and BAM, raise to everyone. Everyone had to be careful due to weakness, but we made it.

Most possibly a fluke but still awesome XD. Funny thing is, i got no commendations for it XD. Im guessing that SCH got 7 of em, mine included lol

Received 3 commendations from duty roulette just because I tanked without heals during the second boss fight in AK.

Received another 3 commendations without saying hi (or anything at all) to the Japanese team mates, just because I was a tank.

Titan HM. He had about 5% health left. All we had was one whm, one bard, and me the tank alive. The bard had mana song on, but not much mana left. He was also trapped in the gaol. The WHM was also running out of mana solo healing pretty much the entirety of post-heart.

I said, "it's all or nothing. I'm going to switch to Sword Oath, and pop Hallowed Ground for the next Mountain Buster. Healer just focus on DPS-ing Titan". All I had on me was a Regen. I was sidestepping Weights, standing on bomb blind spots, all while DPS-ing Titan as much as my little Lalafell body could dish out.

We won that fight. I felt like a god.

Soloing Chimera in Cutter's Cry from 40% because everyone else died.

I once got 7 commendations in CM. I dunno what awesome things I did, though. It felt like any other run.

Solo tank EM Titan no switches.
Solo 40% of Dhorme Chimaera after everyone died from the 2.1 new Ram's Voice.
Solo kill 3 people in Wolves' Den a couple of times after all teammates went down.

Joined a shout group doing Hydra with my WAR. Ended up cotanking with a nice PLD.

We wiped twice because people kept getting in the middle and getting AOEs dropped. On the third try we did everything basically perfect until White Breath showed up. My partner was too far to the left to dodge with me (I went right) and we got separated for a second. Boss runs to the center for Fear Itself and my PLD doesn't make it in time. He gets Hysteria and eats a Triumvirate as I'm trying to catch him. He goes down.

I held Hydra for a second and blew all my cooldowns before realizing I was boned. So I started to run. And I remembered Sprint! I hit it and took off around the edge of the arena, kiting Hydra while the others rezzed the PLD and killed the Wyvern add that was up. I ran him around the circle three times while chucking Tomahawks at his face, and they got my partner healed and got all his buffs back up. I hit autorun and typed "Coming your way man!" and ran Hydra right back to the PLD where we formed up and resumed tanking like nothing had even happened. We killed the SOB about 2 minutes later and got 5 people their clears.

Was a damned good day. I felt like a hero.

Me - second time running the Svara fate in Coerthas.

I was part of a full fate group when she dropped in on us. We were joined by what felt like every other person in or near Dragonhold. I grabbed Svara's attention and swung her around on the huge stump (I think it's a stump?) behind the keep... and I held her, perfect positioning, dodging in and out, managing her position, managing my cooldowns, healer keeping me nicely topped off, camera zoomed out to max... zoomed out enough that when I looked up and behind her, I saw a veritable WALL of ranged DD pouring fire into her from the other side - in perfect safety. So many people, my frame rate dropped significantly.

It was beautiful.
