It's self-explicative :P add a feature to upload (or link to another site) a personal avatar other the default ones. It's more visually satisfying and help recognize better the person who speaking. A pletora of identique avatars can be a lot confusing

Yes, this. Upload of png, jpg, gif format of custom avatar would be nice (in pixel size - horziontal 150x200 vertical), up to 100-150kB. Something like this.

I don't think it should be allowed, considering, in this day in age, some fool will use an avatar that is not PG-13 and make some parents mad.. It would be an extra thing to moderate.

I'm more for a wider variety of avatars, but not open to use any thing we want.

I support the ability to upload personalized avatars. I would rather have no avatars at all than the limited, impersonal ones we have now.

Its same as with signatures, then these should not be allowed as well. SE can make rule which avatars not upload in common sense, they can take actions against these game accounts and they will keep information that they are not taking a responsibility for each users avatar uploaded. Only a hater and moron would violate such rule.

Custom avatars are fine imo.

I disagree. These avatars are fine, in my opinion. Different avatars invite trolls and simply aren't needed.
