1 Time Character Transfer Due to Latency & prior Character Creation Restrictions

Hi, Everyone. I have had a few issues with latency on the Fafrit Server as I live in Australia. Upon request for a 1 time transfer to a server more suited to my location, to significantly reduce latency. I was met with sorry it is against company policy to offer this service and was sent a link to the paid character transfer.

My Suggestion is as follows. Due to the character creation restrictions from launch which were put in place by Square. Anyone who has held an account from launch gets a 1 time free transfer.

This would greatly help people in remote areas of the world who had no choice but to make a character on the NA servers and make so we don't have to fork out more funds for something we cannot help.

I was very dissatisfied with the inability of the FFXIV team to help. I am hoping the 'Sorry can't help you service' was just an isolated incident. However I also do realize that some company policy's must be followed.

They did free transfers for this reason back in October I believe. ^^;

There are only two data centres, Canada and Japan, which one is "more suited" to your location as neither is likely to give you decent latency.

And what 'character creation issues' are you trying to use here to justify your request, both server farms had period where character creation was locked .. in fact, EU players like myself had many days where we couldn't create a character on ANY EU server, which AFAIK didn't happen to either the NA or JP server groups.

Either of those would be an improvement, My problem is it would take no time at all to fix and to help a player with reasonable requests should not be out of this company's grasp. I think I'll try contact Customer service one more time. Because I am getting between 800-1000ms+ latency where on Tonberry people in the oceanic region are getting 200ms latency which would be bearable. I just really don't want to start from scratch.

Best option would be if they offered free server transfers as a veteran rewards. First for 6 months sub, then every 12 months of sub.
