Expand Held Items Indicator to Include Retainers

My armor and weapons collection has (and I am sure this applies to most players) grown too large to carry with me all the time, and I often store green dungeon drops on my retainer to use them later on another job. However, it has grown to so many, that I can't remember all the things I have stored there, but when rolling on pieces of loot in dungeons, it will show an item that I already have as 0 held total, if it is on my retainer. Can we get a change to the indicator so that is shows Total:#X(#Y) where X is held items and Y is items a retainer is holding. For example, if I was rolling on an aesthetic's robe, and I already had one on a retainer, but not in my inventory, it would show Total:0(1). I would prefer not to bog down my inventory with these extra items unintentionally, only to throw them away later, when another player could use them.

That's on the top of my wanted list as well. Mostly for crafting materials though

It'd be nice, but I have my doubts as to whether it would be feasible. It would require a database lookup to retrieve your retainers' items every time it displays a tooltip for anything. That lookup takes time. The second of pause when you first interact with your retainer isn't too bad, but a similar delay every time you mouse over an item in your inventory would bog the game down a lot. (That's one of the main reasons why games have a secondary storage location like bank or retainers. To separate out excess items, so the game can deal with a much smaller more manageable set during normal gameplay.)

Now if in fact SE's devs can come up with a way of retrieving all that data efficiently enough that it doesn't bog things down, then I'd certainly support this request. (Like Zacban, I'd mostly like it for crafting mats, but that's because those are most of what I store with the retainers.)

Even if it were client side, updated each time you examined your retainer (might display as normal until then), that would be far preferable to what exists now.

I would love to see that i have certain armour on retainer or an item i need for the craft without have to run to the retainer itself and look.

They now have it in partially, but it needs more ways of instigating the search. If you have an item in your inventory, you can select the item, bring up its context menu (square button on controllers, I'd assume it's a right-click for mouse users) and select "Search" and it will tell you (output to the chat box) the locations of all such items you have, across both inventory and retainers.

However, that context menu that's available after you've already found the item is the only place I've come across that enables that search function. I suppose there might occasionally be a use for asking "is this all I have of this, or do I have another stack stashed away somewhere?" But the feature would be a lot more useful if we could search without having to already have found the item. In particular, the place I keep wishing for it is under the Timers window's sub-menu for supply/provisioning missions. When it tells me there's a provisioning mission to turn in 10 pieces of Raw Zircon, I want to look up from there whether I have any Raw Zircon. The crafting window's ingredients lists are another place where it's really needed.

It really seems as though performing the search function would have been the more difficult part for them to add, and they got that part done. Instigating the search should have been a simpler piece to include, but that part seems to be missing except for one of the least useful places for it.

    EDIT:
Ok, apparently I mis-remembered how (or rather where) this works. (I mainly remembered that I'd tried it once, thought "that's cool" but then never had a use for it, while I kept wishing it were available from the timers window where I usually want it.) It is in the crafting log. And yes, that's a useful place for it, but I still think it needs to be in other places as well, like the timers window (supply/provision section). And if it's available as a / command from the chat window, then I haven't figured out how. It'd be good there, too.
