    Will 2.2 bring alliance sized content for Free Companies?

    CT has been out for a while already and when first announced I'm sure many Free Companies had the hopes that it would allow for the greater inclusion of a larger more fluid pool of FC members to participate in events.

    However what we got was more of the same, people being locked into to 8 man parties and creating artificial walls between FC members as they are slowly siphoned off into static coil / primalX groups.

    There have been hints at what content 2.2 is bringing with it and sadly it still seems very 8 man party focused. I'd really like to implore SE to consider focusing on generating more content similar to CT in style, content in this case however that allows Free Companies to participate as a whole rather than still being forced to fill the remaining parties with Duty Finder members.

    Content similar in style to FFXI's Dynamis, Sky and Sea or WoW's 25 man raids. Content that allowed larger Linkshells / Guilds / FC's to incorporate not only their hard core players but also their more casual members who might not be able to commit to a regular raid schedule but would still like to jump into some content and have fun with their fellow Company members throughout the week.

    It's very confusing from a design stand point for you to give us these large Free Company communities, only to still force us into working with such small parties. Now not all content needs to be cater to and alliance sized group, it's just that sometimes these communities of close friends you help us make within your world would like to have options to participate in content and enjoy the game together as a whole.

    There will not be any guild based content until the first expansion if that.

    They are following the Coil => CT => Coil => CT.

    And they stated coil will drop the best gear... so even if there was alliance content why bother if the gear is subpar.

    The devs want the game to be anti-guild. Unfortunately the devs think this is how it should be. Low man only.

    Many people in our FC are Coil geared and still running CT whether it be for myth, gearing up an alternate job or just going to have fun with friends. And even if what you said is the case, why not invest time into getting the alliance party interface to work outside of an instance and allow FCs to join CT as an alliance together as an interim measure until they can generate content that caters to FC alliance parties?

    Outside of physical server capability limitations is there any need for this restriction to be in place still?

    They actually are working on an alliance interface and the ability to queue up with pre-made alliances for CT. There was a dev post around 2.1's release.
