Lv 40 PvP, GLA or PLD?

PLD :
- Bigger stats due to job stone bonus.
- Has cover to protect allies.
- Access to sword oath and shield oath.

with GLA, you can get :
- Group utility spells such as eye for an eye, virus, feint, swiftcast+stoneskin, etc
- DPS abilities such as Blood for blood, raging strikes, invigorate, etc.

Stuff that you get as a lv 40 PLD doesn't seem to be useful enough.
Cover is useful.... in theory, most of the time when I use it on healers/casters they just keep sprinting away like a madman rendering the effect useless (or the opposing team knocking me back out of cover's range)
The oaths are not that great either, sword oath is very miniscule increase in damage at best, due to constant chasing and dancing around, and shield oath... well, if you have to use shield oath chances are your other 3 allies are already dead.
The increased stats from job stone is nice, but I think I can burst people better with additional DPS skills that I can pick as a GLA.

Thoughts?

(Keep in my mind that this is from solo player's perspective, I understand that it may be more beneficial to use PLD instead if you're running with pre-mades)
